Description
NITED STATES EPHRAIM OULVER, OF SHELBURNE, MASSACHUSETTS.
IMPROVED CLOTH ES-DRIER.
Speeilcation forming part of Letters Patent No. 46,452, dated February 21, 1965.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EPHRAIM CULVER, of Shelburne, in the county of Franklin and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and nsefullmprovement in Clothes-Driers; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
My invention consists in providing a slotted and movable arm so connected with a brace and hub as by means of a screw and nut to be readily and iirmly secured, either when folded to the hub, or wholly unfolded, or partly nnfolded, by reason of the cords being Wet or dry, and so expanded or contracted, or for any other cause, and also in a detachable and selfsupporting` reel, when separated from any post or standard.
To enable others to make and use my invention, I proceed to describe its construction and operation.
This drier consists ot eight parts-the standard, marked'A A; the pins b b, on which rests the reel, raised or lowered, as desired; the arm c, the brace d, the cords h h h, and the bub i, and the screw and nut e and reel B B B B.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The combination of the slotted and movable arm c, the movable brace d and hub t', and the screw and nnt e, substantially as and for the purposes described.
