ATTACHMENT FOR SCRUBBING-BUCKETS.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Letters Patent N 0. 413,526, dated October 22, 1889.

T0 all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, ABRAHAM J. LIGHT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lebanon, in the county of Lebanon and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Attachments for Scrubhing-Buckets, which improvement is fully set forth in the following specification and accompanying drawings.
The invention consists of a hoop or band, which maybe attached to a bucket and is provided with receptacles for soap, brushes, &c.
It further consists of devices for rendering said hoop adjustable, so as to adapt it for different-sized buckets.
Figure 1 represents a perspective view of an adjustable hoop with its equipments for a bucket embodying myinvention. Fig. 2 represents a top View thereof. Fig. 3 represents perspective views of detached parts.
Similar letters of reference. indicate corresponding parts in the several figures.
Referring to the drawings, A designates a hoop, to which is attached the following lettered parts, either fixed or detachable, viz: the soap-box B, the brush-holder O, the case or socket D, for holding a knife for cleaning out corners or for other purposes, the hook E, for suspending the scrubbing rag or cloth, and the upwardly-extendin g hooks F, for supporting the hoop on the top rim of the bucket. Near one end of the hoop are holes a, for re ceiving a dowel or hook I), attached to the other end, whereby said ends are connected. In order'to prevent the ends from separating, a band 0 is placed over thesame; or the said band may be secured to the end having the hook b. It will be noticed that by means of the openings a and hook b the hook may be adjusted to fit buckets of diiferent sizes, and as equipped produces a useful and convenient device for the purposes intended.
I am aware that it is not new to employ an adjustable band as a broom-holder; neither is it new to employ, in connection with a bucket, an interior band with clips to hold brushes; but I am not aware that the device herein described and claimed is old.
Having thus described my invention, What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
A bucket provided with an adjustable hoop having supporting hooks and receptacles attached thereto, said parts being combined substantially as described.
