SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 337,717, dated March 9, 1886.
Application filed August 24, 1885. Serial No. 175,167. (No model.)
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, EDWARD L. TORSOH and JAMES R. LEE, of the city of Baltimore and State of Maryland, have invented certain Improvements in Badges, of which the following is aspecification.
This invention relates to certain improvements in the holder whereby the badge is secured to the coat of the wearer, as will hereinafter fully appear.
In the drawings forming a part hereof, Figure I is a front view of a badge of the description to which the improved holder is adapted for application. Fig. II is a rear view of the badge and the holder. Fig. III is a sectional View of the badge, taken on the dotted linear a, Fig. II. Fig. IV is a rear View of the I111- proved holder before its application to the badge. Figs. V, VI, and VII illustrate modifications in the construction of the holder, as hereinafter specified.
A is the badge, and B the holder, which consists of the pin a and bar b, the latter having the points 0, which project beyond its edge, and are passed through the badge and duplicated to form a complete fastening.
In Figs. II and III the badge is folded over the bar b, and the pin a is passed through the folded end of the badge. The clasping-points cin these figures are on the lower edge only of 0 the bar I), and are folded over the edge of the badge.
