  • This invention relates to an apparatus for packaging a product in a respective preformed wrapper or preformed bag.
  • the packaged product is a product of the tissue industry, that is, a product made of paper for personal or domestic use and, preferably, defined by a group of respective articles which are, in particular, arranged in one or more layers placed on top of each other, and especially are in the form of packets, in particular packets of paper face wipes, hand towels or handkerchiefs, or are in the form of rolls, in particular rolls of toilet paper or kitchen paper, or are in the form of other articles.
  • These apparatuses comprise means for feeding the preformed wrappers, means for feeding the product and means for inserting the product into the preformed wrapper through the open end.

  • the single vacuum generator 221 is connected by means of a duct 220 to a flow dividing valve 222 which transmits the suction by way of corresponding ducts 223 , 224 to the first and second suction cups 22 , 22 for opening the bag.
  • the apparatus uses a reduced number of motor drives, with obvious advantages in terms of the construction and running costs of the apparatus.
