Preferably cleats 55 and 56 are fixed upon the bottom 3 to support the camp stove. A partition 57 is removably mounted between the shelves S and 45 to make compartments 58 and 59 between the shelves. The shelf 45 is short, and a compartment 60 is formed between thepart-ition 4L7 and the wall 5 for the reception of thermos bottles and the like. A shelf 61 is fixed rigid with the partition 57 and a partition 62 extends downwardly from the intermediate portion ofthe shelf 61 and a partition 63 extends upwardly from the shelf. 61 in line with the partition 62. A notch 64 is formed from the front edge of the shelf 61 between the upper part of the partition. 57 and the partition 63. Another partition 65 is fixed to the shelf 61 at the center of the notch 64 and has a tapered forward end. The parts 57, 61, 62, 63 and 65 are rigidly secured together so that the whole assembly may be removed when desired. The notch 64 forms means whereby a hand may be inserted to remove jars 66 and 67. The partition 62 is in vertical alignment with the partition 4:7 and the end of the shelf 61 projecting to the right from the partitions 62 and 63 forms the top of the compartment 60. lVhenthc shelves 45 and 61 and. the connecting parts are removed, a chamber 68 is formed to receive a suit case 38 or the like. Blocks 69 and. 70 are fixed upon the floor 8 at the corners formed by the sides 4 and 5 and the bottom 3.

A folding table top 71 fits upon the bottom 8 between the blocks 69 and 70, and all the parts between the inner top-6 and the bottom 3 and between the side walls 4 and 5 are cut short so that the folding table top will fit between the blocks 69. and 70 and form a front to keep the articles in the various vcompartments. A folding front wall 72 is connected to the forward edge of the bottom 3 by hinges 7 3 andis adapted to swing upwardly to hold the folding table top in place. Chains 71L or the like connect thefolding front 72 to the sides t and 5 and limit the downward swing of the folding front to a horizontal position. Cleats 75 are fixed across the ends of the folding front 72 to strengthen the construction and the folding table top 71 fits between the cleats 75. lVhen the folding front 72 is in downward or open. position, it may be used as a writing table, as indicated by the paper, pencil and envelope thereon. \Vhen the folding front 72 is closed, and the cover 8 is closed, trunk fas-- tenors 76, 77 and 78 hold the trunk securely closed and may be of an desired construc tion. Angle irons 79 are secured to the lower ends of the sides at and 5 and may be bolted to the running board 32 to hold the camp kit in place upon the runningboard.

Thus I have produced a camp kit includ ing a trunk having a bot-tom, a rear wall, side walls rigidly secured together, an inner top, a tray construction above the inner top, a refrigerator construction extending upwardly from the bottom through the tray construction, the space below the tray construction and beside the refrigeratorconstruction being divided by shelves and par titions into compartments, there being a compartment for thermos bottles, a compartment for a camp stove, a compartment for a coffee pot and the like, and compartments for cooking utensils, packages, drawers and the like, a folding table top fitting against the fronts of the compartments and holding the articles in place, a folding cover for the tray construction, and a folding side. for holding the folding table top in place, certain shelves and partitions being. remo able to form a space for a suit case or the like. The camp kit may be carried on the rear end of a. vehicle instead of on a running board, if desired.

Various changes may be made without departing from the spirit of my invention as claimed.

. I claim: I

1. A camp kit comprising in combination a trunk like structure having a fixed horizontal shelf, a. removable shelf with partitions connected thereto below the fixed shelf, the removable shelf with its partitions when removed forming a compartment to store a suitcase.

2. A camp kit having a trunk like structure with a vcrt-icalpartit-ion adjacent one end, a horizontal shelf ext-ending from-the partition to one end of the trunk structure, removbelow the ill) low

fixed shelf, the said removable shelf with the partitions when removed leaving a compartmentfor a suitcase.

3. A camp kit comprising in combination a trunk like structure having a vertical paring partitions connected thereto to be bodily removed with said removable shelves leaving a space for storage of a suitcase.

1-. A camp kit comprising atrunk like structure having a fixed shelf in the upper part, said shelf having a notch in the front, a plurality of removable shelves having partitions connected to each shelf, the said shelves and partitions when removed leaving a space for a suitcase with the handle of the suitcase fitting in said notch.

5. A camp it having a rectangular trunk like structure with a folding front hinged to the lower edge, a vertical partition spaced from one end, there being compartments between the said partitions and the said end, said compartments forming a refrigerator and cooling chambers, a fixed shelf extending from the partition to the other end and having a notch therein, a plurality of removable shelves each having partitions secured thereto, each removable shelf and its partitions being removable as a unit, and when removed leaving a space to accommodate a suitcase with the handle ofthe suitcase fitting in the said notch, the front of the partitions and shelves being spaced from the folding front to allow storage of a table.
