This invention relates to an 'in proved'apparatus adapted to be used by tourists and under circumstances wh-erea combination table, stove, and supply cabinet is desirable which may be foldedinto a compact condition.

.A further I provision of a I fold'able table, stove, supply cabinet device which when folded is substantially rectangular in form, of such nature that it may be mounted with ease on the running board of an automotive vehicle, Orin any Convenient position on the vehicle, and in a compact condition, and which maybe extended to provide a table having a relatively great table surface, with .a stove supported in adjacent relation thereto.

A further object of this invention the provision of a device of the above mentioned character which includes a collapsible leg structure .which when folded will hold the parts of thejdevice in a compact position, and which when extended will support ,the table at a desired-elevation.

A further object of this invention is the provision of a novel type of combination table, stove, an-d' -supp'ly' cabinet, embodying novel collapsible features which [swingable portions maybe uised as table leaves, or closures for certain parts ofthe device.

Closures 30 and 31 are respectively hinged at the opposite longitudinal edges of the top wall 26, in any approved manner, and so that the same may swing upwardly into the same horizontal plane as the top wall 26, or may swing into vertical positions as closures for the side openings of the compartments of the body B. When in such closed position the closures 30 and 31 provide side walls for the body. These closures or side walls 30 and 31 are adaptedto be held into their horizontal table forming position by means of wire supporting brackets 32, which are substantially V-shaped in formation, and which are pivoted so that they may swing into the side portions of the compartment in the body, or may swing outwardly of the openings of the compartments of said body,

to provide horizontal leg portions upon which the side walls and 31 re:t, to provide portions of the table, and substantially as is illustrated in Figure 2 of the drawings. It is preferred to provide two of the brackets 32 for each of the side wall closures 30 and 31, and when these brackets are swung into their respective compartments in the body the closures 30 and 31 swing to provide side walls as is illustrated in Figure 8 of the drawings.

Referring to the stove apparatus 1), the same preferably includes .a stove casing .35, in the form of an 'open topped receptacle, providing a compartment 36 therein. This casing 35 is pivoted at 38, adjacent an edge of a rear wall thereof, to the lower portion adjacent .an end edge of the body top wall 26, so that the casing 35 may be swung into the compartment 20 of the receptacle like end wall of the body B, into an out of the way relation therein, as is illustrated in Figure 10 of the drawings, or so that it may be swung into horizontal position, as is illustrated in the drawings; the compartment 36 opening upwardly. In this compartment 36 a two burner gasoline stove 39 is provided, of any approved character, which may be fed from a gasoline supply tank 40. The gasoline supply tank 40 may be attached exteriorly of the casing 35, by fitting 41, which may be detached therefrom and placed in the compartment 36 adjacent the stove 39 when it is desired to collapse the stove apparatus in the compart ment 20 of the body B. Below the top edges of the walls forming the casing 35, it is preferred to provide racks 42, which may be detachable in character. Hingedly connected at the opposite sidewalls of the easing 35 it is preferred to provide closure lids 46, which may be swung into a closed relation over the open top of the compartment 36, as is illustrated in Figure 9 of the drawings, or which may be opened laterally into horizontal position in the same plane as the plane formed by the top wall 26 of the body B, and the side leaves or closures 30 and 31 when extended. In order to provide for the horizontal support of the stove casing, it is preferred to provide sectional collapsible brace arms 48, which at their lower ends are pivoted to the side walls 19 of the receptacle shaped end wall of the body B, and which at their upper ends are pivotally connected adjacent the outer end of the stove casing 35, and which when extended are diagonally positioned to support the stove casing in a horizontal position, as is illustrated in the drawings. These arms 46 collapse into the pocket 20 for the stove casing, between the stove casing 35 and the side walls 19 .and are in non-interfering rela tion with such collapse of the stove casing into the pocket 20, due to the fact that the side walls of the stove casing 35 are divergent.

In order to support the leaves 46 in their horizontal table forming relation, it is preferred to provide pivotal V-shaped bracket arms 50 at each side of the stove casing 35; the same being pivoted to said stove casing, so that they may be collapsed into position along side of the stove casing, or may be extended in rightangled relation from said stove casing to support the lids or leaves 46 in the horizontal relation shown. The arms 50 are only of sufficient length that they may be collapsed along side of the stove casing and into the pocket 20. When the stove apparatus B is collapsed it is to be noted that the same is entirely disposed in the pocket 20, with one lid 46 facing outwardly. At the outer surface of this lid 46, it is preferred to provide a handle 52, which when the device is collapsed provides .a side handle to assist in carrying of the collapsed device A.

Referring more specifically to the drawer apparatus E, the same includes a drawer body 55, including a'bottom wall 56; side walls 57 front wall 58; and rear wall 59. The bottom wall 56 is connected in rigid relation to the side and front and rear walls in a plane upwardly of the lower edges of said'side and front and rear walls, so that drawer supporting braces 60 may be pivotally connected to the bottom wall 56, and be low a surface thereof, and when collapsed will be disposed immediately below the bottom wall 56, so that the drawer may slide on the lower edges of the side and front and rear walls, upon the drawer supporting wall 21 of the body B; the brackets being positioned in. non-interferring relation with the sliding of the drawer when collapsed. If desired the open top of the drawer may be covered by an additional table leaf. The improved device A provides a drawer which may be subdivided into a plurality of compartments as shown, for properly receiving table accessories such as knives, forks, and other cooking utensils or edibles. The compartments in the body B are open at both sides of the compartment when the leaves 30 and 31 are horizontally positioned, and the brackets which support these leaves are not in interfering relation with respect to access of the materials carried in these compartments. ' tangular form, and the handles 52 and 68 may be used to carry the device A. The leg arrangement C is of considerable impor tance, in view of the fact that the same is very stable for supporting the device when extended, and may serve the additional function of lockin the parts of the device A into collapsed re lation when said legs are collapsed. F or conventional tourists use the cabinet is but 15' inches in height when collapsed, and the legs when extended pro vide an additional 15 inches which provides a table the surface of which is 30 inches above the ground surface.

In a combination table and cabinet structure the combination of a cabinet supporting body including a substantially rectangular shaped top wall of plane forma- Lion, side leaves of plane formation pivotally connected at the opposite longitudinal sides of said top wall, means to collapsibly extend said side leaves into the same plane as the top wall, a drawer slidable at one end of the cabinet body and of a nature to collapse in the cabinet body, or extend therefrom at the end of the. cabinet body, plane leaves hingedly connected at the sides of the drawer of a nature to collapse over the drawer for sliding with the drawer into the cabinet body, means to support the last mentioned leaves in extended relation at the sides of the drawer in the same plane as the plane of the top wall and contiguous at the ends of the adjacent side leaves which are hinged to the top wall when the top wall side leaves are extended, a casing collapsibly carried by the cabinet body at the opposite end of said top wall, means to support the casing in extended relation from its adjacent end of the cabinet body, and side leaves pivotally connected at the sides of said casing having means to support the same in extended relation at the sides of the casing in the same plane as the top wall and contiguous at the ends of the adjacent side leaves of the top wall.

In a cabinet of the class described the combination of a body providing a bottom wall and compartment through said body, a closure for said compartment at a side of the body, leg means including a supporting leg hingedly connected to said bottom wall, and detachable brace means to secure said leg in extended relation below the bottom wall and into collapsed relation along side of said body in engagement with said closure to lock the closure in shut position;

In a cabinet of the class described the combination of a body providing a compartment opening at the side thereof and a compartment opening at an end thereof, a closure hingedly connected with said body for the side opening, a casing hingedly carried by said body adapted to be collapsed into the open compartment at the end of the body, means for supporting the closure and casing in extended relation with respect to the body, and supporting legs pivotally connected to the body, one of said supporting legs being formed of angle material and hingedly positioned to fold into collapsed relation at a corner of the body whereby one portion of the angle leg extends into overlapped relation With the closure at the side of the body to hold the same shut and the other portion of the leg extends over the casing atthe end of the body to hold the same in shut position within the body.

A cabinet of the class described comprising a body including a table top, hinged- 1y connected table leaves at the sides thereof, means for holding the table leaves extended in the same plane as the table top, extensible devices at the ends of said body, table leaves collapsibly carried by said devices at the ends of said body, and means for supporting the leaves of said devices in horizontal position in the same plane as the table top.

17. In acabinet of the class described the combination of abody providing an opening inwardly from an end thereof, a drawer slid able in said opening, a hingedly connected member at the side of said body, means for holding the hingedly connected member extended, and leg means pivotally carried by said body adapted to support the same above a ground surface, said leg means adapted to be collapsed at a corner of said body to lock the hinged member and drawer in closed relation with respect to the body.

In a cabinet of the class described the combination of abody including a bottom wall, end walls and a top wall, said body 1 providing a compartment opening at the sides of the same, hingedly connected side leaves carried by the top wall adapted to close over the side openings of said compartment, collapsible bracket means extensible from said compartment to support the side leaves in horizontal relation in the same plane as the top wall to provide a table therewith, an extensible articlesupporting casing carried at the end of said body, 8X?

19. In a cabinet of the class described the combination of a body providing an opening inwardly of an end thereof, a device extensible from said opening, legs pivotally carried by said body, said legs being formed of angle iron, hinged brace means carried by the legs adapted to be connected to said body to support the legs in brace extended relation, said legs being collapsible along said body to overlap said extensible device at the end of the body to hold the same collapsed in the body, said brace means adapted to be utilized to lock the legs in collapsed position.

20. In a device of the class described the combination of a body, a device collapsible at an end of the body, brace means for holding the device in extensible position from said body, legs, pins carried by the body, and braces connected with the legs adapted to engage said pins to lock the legs in extending for supporting the body, said brace means being detachable whereby the legs may be positioned in collapsed relation along the body in overlapped relation with the extensible device at an end of the body to hold the said extensible device collapsed in the body, said braces being connected between the legs and said pins to hold the legs collapsed and locked-in collapsed relation on said body.

In a cabinet device of the class described the combination of a body including a table surface, said body having an opening therein, a drawer slidable in said opening, side leaves pivotally carried by the drawer adapted to be folded therein when the drawer is collapsed in the body to collapse said side leaves with the drawer in said body, and means for supporting the side leaves in extensible relation from said drawer when the drawer is extended to add to the table surface of said body.

22. In a cabinet device of the class described the combination of a body including a table surface, said body having an opening therein, a drawer slidable in said opening, side leaves pivotally carried by the drawer adapted to be folded therein when the.

drawer is collapsed in the body to collapse said side leaves with the drawer in said body, means for supporting the side leaves in extensible relation from said drawer when the drawer is extended to add to the table surface of said body, said body providing a compartment opening at a side thereof, a side leaf hingedly carried by said body upwardly thereof for said compartment opening, means for supporting the side leaf in extensible relation to add to the table surface of said cabinet, and collapsible leg means adapted when collapsed to overlap the side leaf and the drawer when collapsed in the body whereby to lock the side leaf in collapsed positions.

23. In a cabinet device of the class de scribed the combination of a body providing a bottom wall, legs hingedly connected at the corners of the body adjacent said bottom wall, a pair of spaced pins extensible outwardly from an end of the body, a pair of braces one of each being hingedly connected to said legs intermediate its leg ends for engaging the nearest pin to support the legs in extended relation from the body, said legs being collapsible upwardly along the body when the braces are detached from said pins, said braces when the legs are so collapsed being permitted to extend for connection to the most remote pin at its adjacent end of the body whereby to lock the respective legs in collapsed position along said body.

24. In a cabinet of the class described a body including a bottom wall, upstanding end wall structures, a top wall providing a table surface, one end wall providing a drawer compartment therein, a drawer slidable in said compartment, the other wall of said body providing a compartporting the side leaves of the drawer and stove casing in horizontal extended relation when the drawer and stove casing are extended and contiguous with the body top wall to widen out the table surface thereof,

said body between said end walls providing a compartment opening at the sides of the body, side walls hingedly connected to the top wall of the body for closures for the side openings of said last mentioned compartment, brace means collapsible in the said last mentioned compartment extensible to support the side leaves contiguous with the top wallto widen out the table surface of the cabinet, angle legs pivotally connected at the corners of said body swingable upwardly to overlap the side walls of said compartment when collapsed and the drawer and stove casing when collapsed, and means to lock the legs in collapsed relation to lock the cabinet in collapsed position.
