BURIAL GARMENT.

This invention relates to a burial garment,

- more particularly toa suit of clothing for I males, and has for its object toprovide, in a structio'n,combination and arrangement of parts, as hereinafter more specifically descrlbed and illustrated in the accompanymg drawings, wherein is shown an embodiment of the invention, but it is to be understood 'thatchanges, variations and modifications can be resorted to which fall within the scope of :theclaims hereunto appended.

"A burial garment, in accordance with this" invention, comprlses a coat element formed,

- of two sectionsreferre'd to generally by the reference characters 1, 2, and each of, said sections include a half collar 3 formed of an inner and an] outer'fold, a front 4 provided with lapel 5 forming a continuation of the halfv collar, a back 6, a sleeve 7 i and a half shoulder 8. The front 4 of the section 1, below its lapel, has a set of buttons 9 secured thereto in proximity to the vertical front edge thereof. The front 4 of the sec tion' 2, below its lapel is formed with a se-' ries ofsuperposed buttonholes lO inpror: iinity to the vertical front edge offsaid section, and said front is furthermore provided'with an upper'pocket 11, to one sideof its lapel 5 and from which projects a handkerchief 12. The section 1, as wellas the section 2, has secured to the inner face of its front, near its half collar, and in proximity, to the bend from which the ilapel extends, a snap fastener member. The tapered upper portion 22 of the vest sections surround the collar 31 and V partly conceal the shirt'bosom 32, as well as concealing the lower portion'of the necktie 33. The garment or suit further includes a pair of trousers referred to generally by the reference character 34:. The trousers are .made large and full and all seams are pressed. The trousers are of the closed front fastener member 29 of the vest section 20 v typeand formed with an open back 35 and at the waist portion 36 of the trousers, a hem 37. is provided through which extends a shirring or draw string 38. The string 38 is of a length to project from each end of the hem 37 so that the ends thereof can be tied together when desired.

From the construction and arrangement of. each of the several elements of the suit, it is obvious that the suit can be quickly and conveniently applied to the corpse and further when applied will have theappearance of a regular tailor made suit combined with shirt, collar, cuffs and necktie. In a burial garment, a coat element formed of two sections, each consisting of a half collar having an inner and anouter fold, a front formed with a lapel providing a continuation of the outer fold of the half sleeve and a shoulder, said front, shoulder and back forming continuations of the inner fold of the half collar,

flexible means secured to one face and extending from the free end of the half coll ar for connecting one section to the other, a fastener element secured to the inner face of the inner fold of the half collar near, the free end of such fold for securing a section against the rear face of the back of the col-- lar of a vest, and a fastener member ar'-' ranged on the inner face of the front in proximity to the point of mergence of the inner fold of the half collar with the front for securing the latter to one side 'of the .upper portion of the front of the Vest.
