Description

June 17 1924. 1,498,253
F.-VOGLHUT FI'LAMENT HOLDER TO BE USED IN CONNECTION WITH THE REGENERATING OF ELECTRIC INCANDESCENT LAMPS Filed Dec. 15 1921 Patented June 17, 1924.
lTED STATES FRANZ VOGLHUT, OF AUGSB'URG, GERMANY.
FILAMENT HOLDER TO BE USED IN CONNECTION \VITH THE REGENERATING- F ELECTRIC IN CANDESCEN T LAMPS.
Application filed December 15, 1921. Serial No. 522,696.
To all whom it M ay concern Be it known that I, FRANZ VOGLHUT, a citi- Zen of the German Republic, residing at Augsburg, Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Filament Holders to Be Used in Connection with the Regenerating of Electric Incandescent Lamps, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to the renewal of incandescent lamps.
' The operation of replacing the filament in lamps in which the filament holder arms terminate in an eyelet, is a tedious and difficult task.
It is the object of this invention to avoid theinconvenience just referred to.
For a full understanding of the invention reference is made to the accompanying 7 drawing.
The lamp shown represents that type in which the arms a, terminate in an eyelet 5 through which the filament is' threaded.
To facilitate the insertion of the new filament f through the hole L at the tip of the lamp, I propose to bend the arms a intermediate the eyelet b and the glass rim 0, preferably close' to the former. The bending operterminate in an eyelet, the step which consists 40 in bending the arms adjacent the eyelet to define recesses for the reception of a filament.
2. In the operation of renewing incandes cent lamps in which the filament holder arms terminate in an eyelet, the steps which consist in bending the arms adjacent the eyelet to define recesses for the reception of a filament and passing the new filament into the said recesses.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature m presence of two witnesses.
FRANZ VOGLI-IUT. Witnesses:
