A'further #object offthis invention is to provide a holder which may be easily construc-ted; which will hold a powder puff securely and which will be of such material and construction as to render it sanitary and clean at all times.

With these objects and other objects which may hereinafter appear, in View, I have de vised the particular arrangement of parts hereinafter set forth and more particularly pointed out in the claims appended hereto.

Reference is to be had to the accompany ing drawing, forming a part hereof in which- Figure l is a front elevation of a powder puf holder made in accordance with my invention;

Figure 2 is a side elevation of the same;

Figure 3 is a sectional View on the line 3-3 of Figure 1, looking in the direction of the arrows, and

Figure 4 is a sectional view on the line 4 4 of Figure 3, looking in the direction of the arrows.

Throughout the various views of the drawings, similar reference characters designate similar parts.

In the preferred embodiment of my in*- vention as disclosed in the accompanying drawing, 1 and 2 indicate the faces of thc pouch. These faces may be made of any desired form to accommodate the shape of powder puff desired but as powder puffs are usually made in circular form, l have shown the faces or sections of

material

1 and 2 of substantially circular outline.

1 and 2 may be made of any washable or sanitary material and 1 have found thin sheet rubber ideal for the purpose.

These 4Vreinforcing strips L are lpreferably made of material similar to the sections j1 and 2 andmay be adhesively. secured in position over the edges of these sections. The stitches 3 do not extend around the entire 2periphery of thesections 1andf2,..but..the ends of this line of .stitching terminateata distance from one another leaving a pair of flaps 5 and 6 between them and the space between said flaps, which is shown at 7 forms a mouth or opening into the interior of the pouch.

At 8 is shown a puf't1 contained within the pouch and a means for retaining the puff securely is disclosed at 9. This puif retaining means consists of a strip of material se cured to the flap 5 on the inner face thereof and it extends downwardly towards the bottom of the pouch and overlies the upper end of the puff 8. This strip 9 has its outer end extending,o0-extensively with the outer end or edge of the section 1 and said strip 9 is secured in place by the binding' 4c of the strip 1.

From the foregoing, it will be seen that l have provided a powder puff holder of extremely convenient shape and size which may be very simply made and which, through the medium of the downwardly extending, puff-retaining strip 9 will act to securely hold a puff 8 within the pouch and prevent inadvertent removal of said puff therefrom.

From the foregoing, it is obvious that my invention is not to be restricted to the exact embodiment shown but is broad enough to cover all structures coming within the scope of the annexed claims.

What l claim is 1. An article of the class described comprising a pouch composed of a pair of similar fiat sections of an expansible material seamed together for a distance along their edges, leaving unsecured portions forming a pair of aps with an opening between them, and a strip of material secured to the inner side of one of said flaps and extending across the same and adapted to overlie an article contained between the two sec- :arsnr essere.

2. An article of the class described comprising a pouch having a pair of opposing flaps on opposite sides of the pouch opening and a strip of material extending across the inner face of one of said flaps and intended to overlie a portion of an article contained within the ouch.

3. An article o the class described co1nprising a pairof sheet rubber disks united together for the greater portion of their circumference by overstitching, aps located between the points of termination of said overstitching, and a strip secured to one of said flaps on its inner face and adapted to overlie a portion of an article contained between the disks.

4, An article of the class described comprising a pouch having a pair of flaps adapted to lie face to face on opposite sides of the pouch opening,` a strip secured along Athe outer edge of one of said iaps on its inner face and extending downward toward the bottom of the pouch and intended to overlie the upper end of a substantially flat article contained within the pouch.

5. An article of the class described comprising a pouch formed from a pair of substantially flat disks of an expansible material, each of said strips being provided with a reinforcing strip of material similar to the disks, extending about its edge, overstitching extending through said reinforcing strips to unite the disks together,'the ends of said line of stitching terminating at a distance from one another leaving an opening between the disks` and a Hat section of material secured to the inner face of one of the diskswith its outer edge extending co-extensively with the outer edge of the disk to which it is secured, and having its ed e secured to the edge of said disk.
