VICTOR GUINZBURG, F YORK, N. Y.,'ASSIGNOR TO I. B. KLEINERT RUBBER COM- PANY, OF NEXV YORK, N. Y., A CORPORATION 0F NEW' YORK.
POWDER-PUFF HOLDER.
Application filed October 11, 1922. Serial No. 593,825.
To @ZZ whom t may concern:
Be it known that I, Vieron GUINZBURG, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city, county, and State ot New York,
have invented a certain new and useful improvement in Powder-Putt Holders, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a convenient form or" holder or pouch tor receiving the powder puff and holding the same, whereby said puii is kept clean and sanitary at all times.
An object of this invention is to provide a puff holder which will be simple in con- 5 struction, substantially small in size and ot such material as to render it clean and sanitary.
With these objects and other objects which may hereinafter appear, in view, I have devised the particular arrangement ot parts hereinafter set forth and more particularly pointed out in the claim appended hereto.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof, in whichE Figure l s a perspective view of a powder puit made in accordance with my invention showing one of the iiaps in open position;
Figure 2 is a front elevation of the holder in closed position;
Figure 3 is a side elevation ot the holder, and
Figure 4 is a sectional view on the line 4 4 of Figure 2, looking in the direction of f the arrows.
Throughout the various views of the drawings, similar reference characters designate similar parts.
In the preferred embodiment ot my inverition as shown in the accompanying drawing, l yindicates one ot' the faces of the holder and Qindicates a similar face.
These faces or sections may be made of any suitable washable or sanitary material, such as sheet rubber or the like.
Both of the sections l and 2 are provided with a reinforcing binding 8 extending about their edge. Said binding is preferably of some inexpansible material andv is secured to the edges of the sections l. and 2 by means of a line of stitching 4. The two sections l and 2 are placed together and a line of stitching 5 extends through both bindings for the greater portion of the circumference of the two sections l and 2 to secure them together and form the pouch. The mouth or opening 8 is preferably smallerthan the diameter of the pouch but is eXpansible due to the expansible nature vof the sheet'rubber disks which form the sides ot' the pouch.
The line of stitching 5 does not extend completely around the sections l and 2 leaving unsecured portions, forming flaps 6 and 7, between which the mouth or opening 8 of the pouch is provided.
A means for detachably uniting the two flaps 6 and 7 thus formed consists ot the cooperating snap fastener members 9 and l0, one of which is provided on each binding.
From the foregoing, it will be seen that I have provided a powder puff holder eX- tremely convenient in size and which may be readily carried and will completely enclose a powder puit, keeping the same clean and sanitary at all times.
Having described my invention, what I claim is:
An article of the class described comprising a pair of flat, substantially circular disks of expansible material, said disks being secured together at their edges for a portion oi their circumference, leaving an expansible opening of less length than the diameter of the disks, and detachable means for uniting together the unsecured portions of the disks to close the opening.
Signed at the city, county and State of New York, this 3rd day of October, 1922.
VICTOR GUINZBURG.
