havin a movable side,
side of the table zsaid .bed frame -i1 1cluding In this position, the bed frame is prevented from rotating by the catches I on the carrier frame, which engage the section b, which may be of any suitable or desired character.
With this construction, the bed is movable about a plurality of parallel axes, one axis being movable about the other. It is thus possible to retain a large portion of the table top in place, as practically only one is necessarily opened in order to permit unfoldino of the table. The pocket a contains the s ack portion of the cord E when the bed is folded within the table. In this way said cord does not hang in sight when the structure is in use as a table.
l/Vith the construction shown and described, therefore, which is designed to solve some of the various problems involved in combining a table with a bed, the table can be of the ordinary size and proportions, such as an ordinary library table, and the bed can be of the proper height and length, and can be of any suitable or desired width, The invention therefor, involves a novel method of combining these two pieces of furniture in one and the same unitary structure, so that each .will have the essential requirements peculiar thereto, to the extent, at least, that the table. is of the proper height and is of such width that it may be pushed through an ordinary doorway, and 'hat the bed is of the proper height and length and can be of any suitable or desired width, the table brain of any suitable or desired length, depending upon the width desired for the bed I do not, however, limit myself to the exact construction shown and described.
hat I claim as my invention is- 1. A table bed comprising a table body a carrier frame pivoted an the body, movable directly downwardfrom its position 'in the'upper-portion of the body,- and .a. folding bed frame rotatively mounted-on said carrier frame.
2. A table bed-comprising a. table body havin amovable sidefa carrierframe pivoted 1n the-body, movable directly downward from its position in the upper portion of'the body, and a. folding bed frame rotatively mounted on said carrier frame, said bed frame being horizontal when in use, and also-when folded within the table, said carrier. frame being bed is folded, but=vertical when the bed is in 11s hai'inga movable side, a carrlerframe pivoted -in--- the body,- movable directly downward from itspositionin the upper portion of: the body, and al folding-bed frame rotativelymounted on -saic1 pivotally conhorizontal when the" e A table bed -comprising a table body carrier frame,-

A table bed comprising a table body having a movable side, a carrier frame pivoted in the body, movable directly downward from its position in the upper portion of the body, and a folding bed frame rotatively mounted on said carrier frame, said bed frame being movable about two axes, when folded, one of said axes being fixed and the other axis being movable about the fixed axis.
5. A table bed comprisinga table body having a movable side, a-carrier frame pivoted in the body, movable directly downward from its position in the upper portion of the body, and a folding bed frame rotatively mounted on said carrier frame, said body supporting said carrier frame in vertical position, when the bed is in. use, and means for supporting the carrier frame in horizontal position. when the bed is folded.
6. A table bed comprising a table body having a movable side, a carrier frame pivoted in the body, movable directly downward from its position in the upper portion of the body, anda folding bed frame rotatively mounted on said-carrier frame, said bed frame having links which provide space for the mattress when the bed is folded, which links are clisposedhorizontally Wl18I1 'SliCl carrier frame is in lowered position and before the bed-frame is rotated to unfolding position.
7. A table bed comprising a table body having a movable side, a carrier frame piv oted in the body, movable directly downward from its position in the upper portion of the body, and a transversely folding bed frame having an end section thereof rotatively mounted on said carrier frame, said bed frame having folding legs, and being composed of three pivotally connected sections, one section being disposed between the others when the bedis folded, which sections are disposed vertically when said carrier frame is in lowered fore the bed-frame isrotatedto unfolding position.
