Be it known .that I, NonvAL TATsoN COBB, a citizenof th'e United btates7 residing at Modesto, in the county of Stanislaus and State of California, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combs; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanyingr drawings. and to the. letters and figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

This invention relates to new and useful improvements in combs. especially designed for taking' kinks out of hair and consists of a simple and ellicient device of this nature havingr various details of ixmstruction, combinations and arrangements of parts which will be hereinafter full)l described, shown in the acconnmnving drawings and then specifically defined in the appended claim.

The section I" is recessed as at 1" and J is a headed pin passing through said recess and engagingY a hole in the frame in the section A. serving as a means for reciprocating' the section l as the lever is depressed.

it will be noted that. when the section F is reciprocated. its projecting ends E will have a movement in the recess D formed in the end piece D. When it is desired to remove the section l-`. it will be necessary to first remove the screw S which holds the end piece i) in place. after whiclrthe frame. section may be easily lifted from the shouldered portion ll upon which it rests and has reciprocating movement.
