which the following is a specification. This invention relates to new and useful improvements in picking harness and more particularly to a harness or apparatus for iolding a receptacle in position 011 the body during the pruning operation, and the pri= mary object of the invention resides in providing an improved means for retaining the receptacle in various adjusted positions on the harness.

A further object of the invention resides in'providing shoulderstraps with movable members in connection therewith retained in adjusted positions through friction, such movable members being designed to engage a receptacle. 7

Still another object of the invention resides in providing hook members, the inner ends of which are connected'with brackets carrying shoulders which operate on the shoulder straps of the harness, the'friction between the body and the straps'retaining the rollers and correspondingly the hooks in any adjusted position. 1 p i A still further object resides in providing an apparatus which is simple and durable in construction, inexpensive to manufacture and one which will be very eflicient and useful in operation. 1 lVith these and other objects in View my invention consists in the novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter referred to and more particularly pointed out in the specification and claims.

My invention primarily contemplates'the" provision of a body harness which is designed to adjustably support a receptacle for c containing articles pruned from trees or vines. The essential feature of the invention involves the manner of adjustably supporting the receptacle on the harness and to this end I provide a pair of hook members 6, the

Theready .movement upwardly and downwardly of the hook members carrying the receptacle is obviously an advantage as it is often desired to change the, position of the receptacle during the pruning operation, according to the desires of the operator or the position of the vines or trees fromwhich the articles are being severed. In view of the particular construction shown and described, the movement of the hooks upwardly and downwardly may be readily effected by action of the arms of the wearer. The operation is a simpleone and the retention of the bucket in any adjusted position by such slight movement provides a device of superior advantages, filling a great need in this art.

From the foregoing description of the construction of my improved device, the operation thereof and the manner of applying the same to use will be readily understood and it will be seen that I have provided a simple, inexpensive and efficient means for carrying out the objects of the invention.

. lvhile I have particularly described the elements best adapted to perform the functions set forth, it is obvious that various changes'in the form, proportion and in the minor details of construction, may be resorted to, without departing from the spirit or sacrificing any of the principles of the invention. r Having thus described my invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. In a device of the class described, body straps encircling portions of the body of a wearer, hook members, and rollers at the inner ends of said hook members having said straps trained thereover and binding the peripheries of the rollers against the body of the wearer, whereby to frictionally retain the hook members in various adjusted positions.

2. Ina device of the class described, body straps encircling portions of the body, hook members, brackets carried at the inner ends of said hook members, rollers supported in said brackets having said straps trained thereover, whereby to frictionally retain the peripheries of said rollers against the body of the wearer and correspondingly retain the hooks in various adjusted positions thereon.

In a device of the class described, strap members adapted to encircle portions of the body, hook members, brackets swiveled to the inner ends of said hook'members and rollers supported in said brackets and having said strap members trained thereover, whereby to frictionally retain the peripheries of the rollers against the body of the .wearer and correspondingly retain the hook members in various adjusted positions thereon.

4:. In a device of the class described, strap members adapted to encircle portions of the body and fit snugly thereagainst, hook members, brackets swiveled to the inner ends of said hook members and rollers supported in said brackets and having said strap members' trained thereover, to cause the periphveries of said rollers to bind frictionally against the body of the wearer, whereby said hook members'may be held in various adjusted positions on the body.
