To all whom it may concern Be it known that 1, DAVID R. BYRAM, a citizen of the United States, residing at Tupper Lake, in the county of Franklin and State of New York, have invented a. new and useful Dish-Cloth Holder; and I do the following to be a full, clear, tion, the art to which it appertains to make use the same.

This invention relates to a new and useful dish cloth holder, and an object of the invention is to provide a, device of this nature, in order to permit the use of scalding water without allowing the hand tocome in contact therewith, which scalding water not only. sterilizes the dishes, but being so such as will enable others skilled in and thoroughly dry, thereby saving labor by obviating the use of wiping cloths or towels.

Another object of the invention is to provide a holder, which may be easily inserted in a lamp shade or bottle with the dish cloth on one end, so as to thoroughly wash the inner circumference of the bottle or shade.

Another object of the invention is the procloth holder constructed from a single length of yieldable wire material, bent to form a loop at one'end of the the sides of the handle loop being crossed, and one side of which handle loop after being crossed being curved or bent to form another loop at the other, end of the holder, to be partly engaged by a loop in a dish cloth. The extremity of one side of this dish cloth loop being turned into an eye for the reception of the side of the handle loop where the sides cross. The other side of the handle loop being extended within said first mentioned. dish cloth loop, and having its extreme portion turned into a smaller loop adjacent the and designed to be partly engagedby the dish cloth. The object in so constructing said dish cloth loop is that the first mentioned dish cloth loop constitutes va body loop, whereas the.

Referring more especially to the drawlngs, 1 designates the holder as 'a' whole, which is constructed of a'single length of wire, bent upon itself at one end-as at 2 to form the hook 3. The-portion 4 of the hook, 3 extends away from the hook to form a curved side 5 ofthe handle 6, and where the.

curved side 5 terminates at 7, the wire is curved upon itself at .8 to form the other curved side 9 of the handle. The curved side 9 of the handle extends towardsaid hook 3. and crossesthe curved side 5 sub stantially midway between the hook 3 and the termination of the curved side 5 and forms one side 10 of the guard for the hook I 3, which side 10 is curved just the opposite to the curvature of the side 9 of said handle.
