Thisinvention relates to a coffee-making device, and has for its primary object a device that is sanitary in every respect and consisting of two major parts detachably con- 5 nected together for cleaning purposes and when assembled all metallic surfaces effectively covered.

An object of the 0 simple and inexpensive manner of formlng the supporting frame so that the same may be economically manufactured, but at the same time providing projections so disposed as to readily rest upon the upper edge of acoffee pot 1n a manner to satisfactorily accom-modatevariations in the diameter of the opening of the coffee pot.

A feature of my invention is the novel manner of forming andpositioning the hump or projection so that the same may perform :50 the dual function of a supportand a retainer between the bag and the support to oppose accidental relative displacement thereof.

With these and other objects in view, the

invention will be better understood from the followingdctailed description taken in connection' with the accompanying drawing,

To facilitate the feeding or threading of the looped edge 2 of the bag upon the support, the former is formed with a slit 9 extending in a direction to allow the material of the edge portion of the bag to be forced onto the free 7 end of the ring thatis spaced from the shank 5. In the threading of'the looped edge of around the hump 8, and due to this displacement of a portion of the bag out of its normal shape, creates a binding action between the bag and the bump to prevent accidental displacement of the bag upon the frame.

This action isalso facilitated by the right angular position of the shank which Willhave abutting relation witli'the looped edge 'portion of the bag. Asthe placing of the bag upon the ring is a very simple operation, it

will be appreciated that the user, with very little effort, may removethe' bag after each use thereof so that the same maybe thorough ly cleaned and dried for another operation.

Particular attention is also called to the fact that the relation and manner of suspending the bag from the support is such that all metallic surfaces are positively covered, whichnot only prevents chemical action of the liquid coffee and its resultant disadvantages, but accumulation'upon the frame is positively prevented,
