Specification of Letters Patent.

To all whom it may concern:

Be'it known that T, JosnPH W. ALLAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at fiOmaha, in the county of Douglas and State of Nebraska, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combination Syringe Cases and Supporters, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to a combination syringe case and supporter, and has for its object to provide a receptacle or container so constructed that a syringe and the parts belonging thereto may be shipped and handled as a single sales package, and which afterward may be conveniently mounted upon a wall or other support to contain the syringe and accompanying parts, when in the possession of the user.

The invention consists of the novel construction, combination and arran ement of parts as described herein and claimed, and as illustrated in the drawing, it being understood that changes in form, size, proportion and minor details may bemade within the scope of the claim, without departing from the spirit of the invention or sacrificing any of its advantages In the accompanying drawing, forming a part of the application, Figure 1 is a vertical front viewof the case when open, a

Referring now to the drawing for a more particular description, numeral 6 indicates the, body portion of a rigid container or case preferably rectangular in form and having a width, length and depth sufiicient to contain the flexible bag, syringe or waterholder 7 and its hose 8. At 19 is indicated a lid or cover having ends and sides similar in form to the body of the case and connected therewith by Patented Oct. 1', 1912. Application filed August 28,1911. Serial No. 646,454.

At 21 is indicated a rack disposed in the V depressed part of the cover as bestshown in Fig. 3. The rack may be conveniently formed of a single wire disposed transversely of and having its ends secured to the cover by means of clips, the clips overhanging the ends of the rack and being soldered to the cover. The. rack may be formed with numerous loops for holding the several nozzles 22, which accompany and are used in connection with the syringe; and a spring clasp 23 may be employed to ad; vantage upon the side of the cover for engagement with the projection or lug 24; mounted upon the side of the container, for holding the cover, when desired, in closed relation with the container.

i Toprevent breakage or abrasions of the nozzles and flexible bags or syringes, the parts should be separated and protected when shipped from the factory and the case as described is useful for this purpose.

When in the possession of the user the case may be secured, as a fixture, verticallyto a support 25, by means of keepers 26 traversing apertures 13; and when the cover v is closed, the case may present a neat appearance, the nozzles and syringe being time the end door 16 will be closed and the curved brackets 11 will provide a suitable support for the hose, rolls 12 tending to prevent injury to the hose when placing it upon or removing it from the brackets.- When the syringe is in use, the end door' 1 6 may be swung inwardly to provide an open space or passageway 27 for the hose, the cover 19 being closed as shown in Fig. 5. At 28, upon the end door 16, end 14 and sides 15, are indicated longitudinal ridges or stops, these being disposed near the edges and upon the outer sides of these parts to provide bearings for the cover when the case is closed, i v

I The device as described may be said to be a new article of manufacture. The parts within the case may be disposed and supported, ,when shipped, substantially as shown in Fig. 1, the case being closed; and when in use and mounted vertically upon a support as a'fixture, the parts within the case may be supported in the same manner;

and the hose, when extended, may be disposed dependingly substantially at the mid dle of the passagewayv since the holder or hook 10 is in vertical alinement with the middle of the passageway.

Having fully explained the several parts and their uses, a further description relating to operation is not necessary.

What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is,

A syringe case comprising an elongated receptacle having a hinged cover, and provided near one of its ends with a holdermember, its opposite end having a passageway with inwardly-projecting stops; a closure-member adapted to open inwardly from said passageway and to swing outwardly for engagement with said stops; means for securing the elongated receptacle in an upright position, thepassageway being disposed in the vertical plane of said holdermember.
