Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Feb. 23, 1915.

the needs of apartments, hotels, and in fact to living quarters generally where the question of space is of importance.
A further purpose of the invention is to provide a bag holder comprising but few parts and which, when set in position, will at all times hold the bag open to receive the articles to be deposited therein.
The invention further contemplates a bag holder having means whereby the contents of the laundry bag may be readily removed without necessitating the actual handling of the articles.
With the foregoing objects in view the arrangement herein proposed possesses other advantages which will be apparent from the following extended description, and the several features of novelty are as set forth in the appended claim.
In the accompanying drawing which shows the invention by way of illustration:-Figure 1 is a perspective view of the device in position for use; Fig. 2 is a transverse sectional view of the same; and Fig. 3 is a detail perspective view showing the device with the bag removed.
Referring to the construction in detail, the bag holder consists of a rod or straight bar 1, having its respective ends provided with loops or eyelets 2 and 3, and a second rod or bar 4, which is curved with respect to the straight bar 1 and provides with said bar, a means for holding the bag A open, as in the manner indicated in the drawings. The bar 4 has its respective ends constructed to provide downwardly disposed portions 5 and 6 which pass through the eyelets 2 and 3 respectively of the bar 1 and connect said bars 1 and 4. The bars thus connected are adapted to be mounted on a suitable support, such for instance, as a wall or door B through the medium of a pair of screw eyelets 7 and 8, which are screwed into said support. (See Fig. 2). The angularly disposed members 5 and 6 fit within the openings of the screw eyes 7 and 8, and in addition thereto, engage with the surface of the support and hold the device at all times E is provided with a flap portion F which is adapted to be detachably connected to the rear lower side of the bag through the medium of any suitable means, which will readily permit of the lower end of the bag being open. This means may, for instance, consist of a plurality of clasps of that type employed on gloves.
It is obvious that those skilled in the art may vary the details of construction and arrangement of parts without departing from the spirit of my invention, and therefore I do not wish to be limited to such features except as may be required by the claim.
Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to protect by United States Letters Patent is:
A device of the class described comprising in combination, a support, a straight bar provided with eyelets at its opposite ends, a curved bar having its end portions turned downwardly at right angles to the body portion thereof, said downwardly disposed portions being spaced apart a distance equal to the length of the said straight bar and fitting through the said eyelets and connecting said bars together, spaced screw eyes mounted in a horizontal plane upon said support, said downwardly disposed portions adapted to fit through said screw eyes and engage the surface of said support, said In testimony whereof I aflix my signature straight bar lying below the horizontal in presence of two witnesses.
plane of the curved bar when assembled, MINNIE E. HALL. said bars forming an inclosure coextensive Witnesses:
with the bag mouth when said bars are in- HELEN W. TAYLOR,
closed Within the bag mouth portion. E. MARIE SORM.
