IMPROVEMENT IN PICTURE-CORD The Schedule referred to invtheee Letten Patent and making part of the same.
I, TOBIAS KOHN, of Hartford, iu the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented certain Improvements in the Manufacture and Construction of Gord for Hanging Pictures, Mirrors, and the like, of which the following is a specification.
Nature and Objects of Vthe Invention.
As is well known to most persons, moths are in the habit of eat-ing out the fiber of textile fabrics, and they very frequently extend their operations to the'cords used for suspendingV pictures, mirrors, and the-like,

General Description.
The lettera indicates the leather core, which may be'round, square, or many-sided, as desired.
Around it is woven a textile covering, b.y The leather is distasteful to the dainty moth, and he will on no account touch it, thus making the cord a safe one for use in all places and for all purposes where it may be exposed to the attacks of moths and their congenus.
I disclaim any intention-to claim as my invention covering lengths of leather by a. textile fabric, spun or Wound around the leather, but I confine myl claim to leather cords covered by a'seamless textile fabric that is braided or Woven around the leather cord.
