a citizen of the United States of America,
residing at Wichita, in the county of Serigw'a-k, State of Kansas, have invented a certain new and useful Menu-Card Holder; and I do hereby declare the following to be holder, as will be apparent from the dcscrlption and claim hereinafter.
One nltjttl of the invention is to provide an Improved construction for the holder whereby the regular menu-card may be held stationary in iosition on the holder.
Further objects of the invention are to 1 provide a menu-card holder which IS practiral and serviceable, simple in construction, strong and durable. economical to use, and attractive in appearance.

The covers 2 of the menu-card holder 1 T may each consist of metallic channel pieces :l and 4 suitably secured together and adapted to receive the edge portion of a sheet. 5
and also the edge portion of sheets 6 of cel luloid or other transparent material disposed on the opposite sides of sheet 5.
Any suitable or desirable matter may be printed or engraved on one or both sides of the sheet 5 and it will be understood that the channel pieces 3 and 4 provide a binding adapted to protect from mutilation the ed 0 portions of the sheets 5 and (l and that the celluloid sheets ti prevent soiling of the sheet 5 and may themselves be readily cleaned when they become soiled. Each of the channel pieces 4 may carry a plurality of hinge members 7 each formed with a sleeve S; the hinge members on one of the channel pieces 4 being adapted to be disposed between the hinge members of the other channel iecc so that a pin 9 may be passed through the sleeves 8 to hold the covers 2 hingcdly connected together.
In order to hold the regular menu-card 10 stationary in the holder 1 parts 11 may he cm loyed; said parts being adapted to pass tlirougli the crease 12 in the menucard 10 and be secured to hinge pin 9. 'llze parts 11 may each be formed with a loop 12 at the lower end thereof titted over the pm 9 and each part may he irovided at the upper end thereof with a hen c 13 arranged at right angles to the loop 12. \Vhcn desired, an elastic band 14 may be placed over the hooks 13 to retain in position a special menucard 15 which may be placer above the regular menu-card 10 in the holder.
\Vhile one form of construction in which the invention may be embodied has been illustrated and particularly described. there are many chan es and modifications thereof that will readily occur to those skilled in the art and the right is reserved to all such changes and modifications as do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined in the appended claim.
