Abstract
A unit for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots comprises a frame with the following elements mounted thereon in technological series: a feed conveyer, a baffle brush and a cleaner, shaped as a hollow cone, above which on a vertical shaft a screw is arranged in such a manner as to allow rotating, and inside of the cleaner – a pile distributor. In doing so the screw is embraced by a cylindrical body, and the internal surface of the cleaner is made as the one riffled with elastic short fingers. In addition, the cleaner is provided with a drive of rotational movement, arranged on the outer surface thereof, and under the cleaner are arranged an additional hollow cone and an unloading conveyer with a blanket cleaner are disposed. The pile distributor is made as a hollow cone, laid out by a spiral with gaps between the spiral turns, the base of which is connected with the base of an additional hollow cone, and the outer surface of the pile distributor is covered by lines of resilient-elastic short fingers. The additional hollow cone is made of rods, laid spirally with a gap, and embraced by the body provided with an unloading tray. The internal surface of which is covered by lines of resilient-elastic short fingers, arranged equidistantly. Between the body and the additional hollow cone a gap is provided.
