Abstract

A unit for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots consists of a frame, a feed conveyer, a baffle brush, a latticed cleaner, mounted inclinedly, which is made as a hollow cone, the vertex of which is directed downwards, formed by transversal rods, mounted with gaps, an activator, mounted inside of the cleaner, consisting of a console driving shaft with blades and brushes, and also of a blanket cleaner and an unloading conveyer. According to the invention, at the end of the console driving shaft of the activator, which is brought from below of the cleaner, four pairs of rectangular blades are rigidly mounted with gaps to the internal surface of the latticed cleaner, reducing in the downward direction. In doing so the ends of the blades comprise radial brushes with elastic rods, above the upper pair of the blades on the shaft a baffle of a conic shape, the vertex of which is directed upwards, is mounted, and above the baffle a guide of parts of a tuberous root pile is coaxially and immovably fixed also as a solid hollow cone.
