A unit for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots consists of a frame, a feed conveyer, baffle brushes, a grated cleaner, mounted inclinedly, made as a hollow cone, the vertex of which is directed downwards, formed by transversal rods, fixed with spaces, an activator, mounted inside of the cleaner, and also a blanket cleaner and an unloading conveyer. The activator is made as a bracket, brought inward of the cleaner from above, on which two driving rod elastic brushes are mounted, the upper one of them has the larger diameter than the lower one. In doing so the directions of rotational movements of the both brushes are the same and directed downwards.
