A unit for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots consists of a frame, a feed conveyer, a baffle brush, a cleaner as a cleaning assembly, mounted as an inclined one, formed by cylindrical driving rollers having pairwise counter-rotational motion, above which a driving activator is disposed, and also of a unloading conveyer. The activator is made as a solid half-sphere, a driving shaft of which is mounted at angle to the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical rollers. The outer surface of the activator is provided with concentric rows of elastic fingers of a cylindrical shape.
