Description

該遙控器件100與該遠距電子器件200使用許多不同的信號類型與通信協定來通信。例如,如圖1A所示,該遙控器件100可利用射頻(RF)、紅外線(IR)、藍芽、ZigBee、EC-Net等發射器與接收器區塊115來與該等電子器件通信。範例性發射與接收協定包括IEEE 802.15.1與802.15.4。

可使用電容感測器之替代而不脫離本揭示內容之精神與範疇。例如,在一些具體實施例中,可使用電感或電阻感測器,其藉由與使用者的身體形成一電網路來偵測使用者的身體之電性質。
同樣,可將該等電容感測器用於遠距器件上而非圖1A至1C中繪示的手持式遙控器件上。例如,代替實施於一手持式遠距中,可將該等概念應用於使用者所佩戴的頭用裝備或胸帶。
圖3A代表該遙控器件100之斷面圖,該電容感測器150係詳細顯示。在一範例中,該電容感測器150包括複數個正電極310與負電極320,例如一或多個正電極310以及一或多個負電極320。正電極310與負電極320係夾置在一介電質材料330之間。應注意,該正電極310係與該等負電極320分離出距離d 1 與d 2 。在一些具體實施例中,距離d 1 與d 2 彼此相等,不過在其他具體實施例中其可不彼此相等。圖3B顯示圖

再次參考圖3A,可以各種形式來實施該電容感測器150,包括作為在剛性電路板或撓性電路板上的迹線。不論是否在剛性或撓性電路板上或以其他方式實施該電容感測器150,可使正電極310與負電極320保持實質上平行以使得該等分離距離d 1 與d 2在該分離面積A上保持恆定。在一些具體實施例中,正電極310與負電極320係沿容納該遙控
器件100之額外電組件的電路板實施於未經使用空間中。此外,在一些具體實施例中,可藉由一覆蓋物(如一介電質材料330)來覆蓋沿該遙控器件之周邊運行的電容感測器150以保護正電極310與負電極320。該覆蓋物可以係各種材料,例如塑膠或玻璃,並且會因此修改等式(1)與(2)以反映說明覆蓋物之介電質的C TOTAL 之新值。

替代地,代替微處理器400,可基於一預定電容之存在來使用一開關415(例如,一單一電晶體)關閉遙控器件100之任何部分。另一替代係一器件可具有可藉由該感測電路410控制之一啟用/停用功能。在另一替代中,在該遙控器件所需要的電力不匹配藉由該等電池405提供之電力的情況下,可經由一電壓調整器來提供至該遙控器件100之電力。因此,可將該開關415耦合至此一調整器之一啟用/停用功能而非該等電池405。在其他具體實施例中,在低電力模式期間,該微處理器400可調整該發射器/接收器區塊115與該遙控器件100控制中的器件之間的通信頻率,或替代地,在該遙控器件100與該遙控器件100控制中的器件之間通信的資訊。
圖5說明可實施為感測電路410的許多範例性偵測電路之一者。

- 如請求項1之遙控器件,其中該運動感測器係選自由以下器件組成之該群組:一加速度計、一迴轉儀(gyroscope)及一觸控板。
- 如請求項1之遙控器件,其進一步包含一或多個發射器/接收器區塊,其中該電容感測器將該電源選擇性地耦合至該一或多個發射器/接收器區塊。
- 如請求項1之遙控器件,其中在該外殼由該使用者握持之後的一預定時間週期(period of time)內,該開關將該電源耦合至該運動感測器。
- 如請求項1之遙控器件,其進一步包含一印刷電路板(PCB),其中該電容感測器包含該PCB上之迹線(traces)。
- 如請求項5之遙控器件,其中PCB在該等迹線之間利用至少兩種不同介電材料。
- 如請求項5之遙控器件,其進一步包含一外殼,其中該電容感測器係位於沿該外殼之周邊。
- 如請求項1之遙控器件,其中該器件進一步包含一螢幕,並且該使用者的該器件之移動對應於移動該螢幕上的一或多個使用者選擇器件。
- 一種廣播接收器系統,其包含:一視訊轉換器接收器(set-top box receiver);一遙控器件,其與該視訊轉換器接收器通信並包含:一外殼;一按鈕;一發射器;一電池;一微處理器,在該外殼內,該微控制器晶片耦合至該電池;一運動感測器,耦合至該電池,該運動感測器經組態以指示經由一使用者相對於一螢幕之該遙控器件之一移動;以及 一電容感測器,在該外殼內,該電容感測器感測一使用者何時握持該外殼,該電容感測器具有:一正電極;一第一負電極,由一第一介電材料與該正電極分離;一第二負電極,由一第二介電材料與該正電極分離;及一覆蓋物(overlay)覆蓋該正電極、該第一負電極及該第二負電極之至少一部分;及一開關,在該外殼內,位於該微處理器之外,當該使用者正握持該外殼時,該開關將該電池電耦合至該運動感測器;當該電容感測器感測到該使用者未握持該外殼時,該開關完全地將電力自該電池與該運動感測器解耦,其中該微處理器經組態以,當該電容感測器感測到該使用者未握持該外殼時,調整該發射器的一通信頻率。
