Abstract

Description
本申請案主張基於2020年7月24日提出申請的韓國專利申請案第10-2020-0092400號的優先權,所述韓國專利申請案的揭露內容全文併入本案供參考。
本申請案是有關於一種光調節元件及車輛。所述光調節元件可包括在車輛的天窗或玻璃中。
在陽光輻照度高的季節或在陽光輻照度高的地區(例如,熱帶地區),大量陽光經由安裝在車輛上的天窗或玻璃進入汽車。此種陽光導致汽車的溫度升高等。
因此,存在以下情形,即在陽光輻照度高期間,在天窗或玻璃上物理安裝能夠阻擋陽光的構件。
然而,當應用如上所述的光調節元件時,存在根據乘坐汽車的人的視角而出現透光率不均勻的問題,且因此存在依據觀察方向出現例如黑帶等不均勻的問題。
本申請案是有關於一種光調節元件及車輛。具體而言,本發明的目的是提供一種光調節元件以及包括所述光調節元件的車輛,所述光調節元件用作車輛的天窗、前玻璃或後玻璃或側玻璃,或者包括在天窗、前玻璃或後玻璃或側玻璃中,或者包括在其中在天窗、前玻璃或後玻璃或側玻璃中包括光調節元件的車輛中,所述光調節元件應用於車輛並且被設計成能夠實現均勻的透射率,而無論車輛乘客的視野如何。

透明模式下的光調節元件的透射率可為至少20%或大於20%、25%或大於25%、30%或大於30%、35%或大於35%、40%或大於40%、45%或大於45%、50%或大於50%、55%或大於55%、60%或大於60%、65%或大於65%、70%或大於70%、75%或大於75%、或80%或大於80%左右。
黑色模式狀態下的光調節元件的透射率可為60%或小於60%、55%或小於55%、50%或小於50%、45%或小於45%、40%或小於40%、35%或小於35%、30%或小於30%、25%或小於25%、20%或小於20%、15%或小於15%、10%或小於10%、5%或小於5%、1%或小於1%、或0.5%或小於0.5%。由於透明模式狀態下的透射率越高越有利且黑色模式狀態下的透射率越低越有利,因此透明模式狀態下的透射率的上限及黑色模式狀態下的透射率的下限不受特別限制,其中在一個實例中,透明模式狀態下的透射率的上限可為約100%,且黑色模式狀態下的透射率的下限可為約0%。
在一個實例中,在能夠在透明模式狀態與黑色模式狀態之間切換的光調節元件中,透明模式狀態下的透射率與黑色模式狀態下的透射率之間的差(透明模式-黑色模式)可為15%或大於15%、20%或大於20%、25%或大於25%、30%或大於30%、35%或大於35%、或40%或大於40%,或者可為90%或小於90%、85%或小於85%、80%或小於80%、75%或小於75%、70%或小於70%、65%或小於65%、60%或小於60%、55%或小於55%、50%或小於50%、或45%或小於45%。
透射率可為線性透光率(linear light transmittance)。線性透光率是在與入射方向相同的方向上透射的光對入射於元件上的光的比率的百分比。舉例而言,若元件呈膜或片材的形式,則在平行於膜或片材表面的法線方向的方向上的入射光中,在平行於法線方向的方向上經由元件透射的光的百分比可被定義為透射率。
透射率可為對於可見光區域中任何一種波長(例如,在約400奈米至700奈米或約380奈米至780奈米範圍內的任何一種波長)而言的每一透射率,或者為對於整個可見光區域而言的透射率、對於整個可見光區域而言的透射率中的最大或最小透射率或者可見光區域中的透射率的平均值。
本申請案的光調節元件可被設計成在自透明模式、黑色模式及彩色模式狀態中選擇的任何一種狀態中的至少二或更多種狀態與另一種狀態之間切換。必要時,亦可實施除上述狀態之外的其他第三種不同狀態或更高狀態。
光調節元件的切換可依據是否施加例如電壓訊號等外部訊號來控制。舉例而言,在不施加例如電壓等外部訊號的狀態下,光調節元件可維持上述狀態中的任何一種,且接著可在施加電壓時切換至另一種狀態。藉由改變所施加電壓的強度、頻率及/或形狀,可改變模式狀態,或者亦可實施第三種不同的模式狀態。
因此,本申請案的車輛可更包括能夠切換光調節元件或外部訊號施加構件等的控制電路。配置此種附加構件的方法不受特別限制,並且可恰當地應用已知的構件。
本申請案的光調節元件可包括光調節膜層作為基本單元,所述光調節膜層具有彼此相對設置的兩個基板及位於所述基板之間的光調節層。圖2是示出光調節膜層的一個實例的圖式。如圖所示,光調節膜層可包括相對設置的第一基板(100)及第二基板(200)。典型地,第一基板(100)與第二基板(200)藉由密封劑(300)貼附。
功能層(1001)形成於第一基板(100)的一個表面(以下,可稱為第一表面)上,液晶配向膜(2001)形成於另一第二基板(200)的一個表面(以下,可稱為第一表面)上,並且光調節層位於彼此相對設置的第一基板(100)與第二基板(200)之間。當光調節層是液晶層時,液晶配向膜通常形成於第一基板及第二基板(100,200)的兩個表面上。因此,形成於第一基板(100)的第一表面上的功能層(1001)亦可為液晶配向膜。在另一實例中,功能層(1001)可為壓敏黏著劑層或黏著劑層。本發明人已經證實,即使當形成恰當的壓敏黏著劑層或黏著劑層而非液晶配向膜作為第一基板(100)的功能層(1001)時,亦可達成適合於汽車的液晶取向。此外,儘管圖中未示出,但在光調節膜層的第一基板及第二基板中的任一者中,可存在用於保持第一基板與第二基板之間的間隔(胞元間隙)的間隔件。當作為功能層(1001)的壓敏黏著劑層或黏著劑層形成於基板(100)上時,壓敏黏著劑層或黏著劑層(1001)貼附至間隔件,藉此能夠大大提高第一基板與第二基板之間的層疊力。
在本說明書中,基板的第一表面是指基板的主表面及相對表面中的任一表面,且第二表面是指基板的主表面及相對表面中的另一表面。
作為基板,可使用已知的基板材料,對此並無任何特別的限制。舉例而言,各向同性基板或各向異性基板可用作所述基板。術語各向同性基板是指折射率不取決於波的偏振方向的基板,且各向異性基板是指折射率依據光的偏振狀態而變化的基板。作為基板,可使用例如玻璃基板、晶體矽基板或非晶矽基板或石英基板等無機基板或塑膠基板。作為塑膠基板,可使用三乙醯纖維素(triacetyl cellulose,TAC)基板;環烯烴共聚物(cycloolefin copolymer,COP)基板,例如降冰片烯衍生物基板;聚(甲基丙烯酸甲酯)(poly(methyl methacrylate),PMMA)基板;聚碳酸酯(polycarbonate,PC)基板;聚乙烯(polyethylene,PE)基板;聚丙烯(polypropylene,PP)基板;聚乙烯醇(polyvinyl alcohol,PVA)基板;二乙醯纖維素(diacetyl cellulose,DAC)基板;聚丙烯酸酯(polyacrylate,Pac)基板;聚醚碸(poly ether sulfone,PES)基板;聚醚醚酮(polyetheretherketon,PEEK)基板;聚苯碸(polyphenylsulfone,PPS)、聚醚醯亞胺(polyetherimide,PEI)基板;聚萘二甲酸乙二醇酯(polyethylenenaphthalate,PEN)基板;聚酯基板,例如聚對苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(polyethyleneterephthalate,PET)基板;聚醯亞胺(polyimide,PI)基板;聚碸(polysulfone,PSF)基板;聚芳酯(polyarylate,PAR)基板或包含非晶氟樹脂的基板或類似物,但並非僅限於此。此種基板的厚度不受特別限制,其可在適當的範圍內選擇。
在本申請案中,在此類基板中,在確保適合於汽車的機械性質、柔性及光學性質方面,可應用各向異性基板,且具體而言,可應用各向異性塑膠基板。由於其固有的性質,此種基板可提供適合於汽車的光調節元件的機械性質、柔性及光學性質。
在各向異性塑膠基板中,具有一定水準或更高水準的光學各向異性的基板可表現出特別適合於汽車的機械性質及柔性。舉例而言,在本申請案中,作為基板,可應用具有至少400奈米或大於400奈米的面內相位差的塑膠基板。
在本說明書中,面內相位差(Rin)是指由以下等式1計算的值。

作為具有相位差的塑膠基板,例如聚對苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)基板等聚酯膜基板通常是已知的,但可在本申請案中應用的基板的類型並非僅限於此,並且可應用所有各種類型的基板,只要其具有此種面內相位差即可。此外,應用於光調節膜層的至少兩個基板皆可具有此種面內相位差,但至少一個基板可具有此種面內相位差。
具有此種各向異性的基板表現出適合於汽車的機械性質、柔性及光學性質,但是由於相關基板固有的光學各向異性,當應用於汽車時,其可依據乘客的視野提供光學不均勻性。然而,根據本申請案設計的光調節元件可改善或消除缺點,同時利用所述基板的優點。
舉例而言,當光調節元件應用於車輛的天窗或包含在天窗中時,第一及/或第二各向異性基板的慢軸可形成為平行於車輛的寬度方向。此時,慢軸形成為平行於車輛的寬度方向此事實可能意指例如在光調節元件中存在可安裝在車輛的天窗位置的緊固構件或緊固部分的情形中,當使用緊固構件或緊固部分將光調節元件安裝在天窗位置時,存在緊固構件或緊固部分,使得基板的慢軸被設置成平行於車輛的寬度方向。在另一實例中,其可意指若光調節元件的形狀被配置成具有與車輛的天窗的形狀相同的形狀,並且光調節元件根據所述形狀安裝在車輛的天窗上,則光調節元件的形狀被製造成使得基板的慢軸平行於車輛的寬度方向設置。
因此,在一個實例中,可安裝至車輛的天窗的緊固構件或緊固部分存在於光調節元件中,或者光調節元件具有與天窗相同的形狀,並且緊固構件、緊固部分或形狀可被確定成使得當光調節元件根據緊固構件、緊固部分或形狀安裝在車輛的天窗上時,第一各向異性基板或第二各向異性基板的慢軸平行於車輛的寬度方向設置。
在光調節元件上形成如上所述的緊固構件或緊固部分或者將光調節元件配置成具有上述形狀的方法不受特別限制,並且可應用已知的方法。

因此,在一個實例中,可安裝在車輛的前玻璃、後玻璃或側玻璃上的緊固構件或緊固部分存在於光調節元件中,或者光調節元件具有與前玻璃、後玻璃或側玻璃相同的形狀,緊固構件、緊固部分或形狀可被確定成使得當光調節元件根據緊固構件、緊固部分或形狀安裝在車輛的前玻璃、後玻璃或側玻璃上時,第一各向異性基板或第二各向異性基板的慢軸平行於車輛的縱向方向設置。
在光調節元件上形成如上所述的緊固構件或緊固部分或者將光調節元件配置成具有上述形狀的方法不受特別限制,並且可應用已知的方法。
舉例而言,當在本申請案的光調節膜層中將兩個各向異性基板用作兩個基板(例如,圖2中的第一及第二基板(100,200))時,所述兩個基板(第一及第二基板)被適當地佈置成使得其光軸彼此平行。在本說明書中,除非另有規定,否則各向異性基板的光軸是指各向異性基板的慢軸,且除非另有規定,否則偏振層的光軸是指偏振層的吸收軸。
在光調節膜層中,存在於基板之間的光調節層是能夠依據是否施加了外部訊號而單獨或結合其他部件來改變光調節元件的透光率、反射率、霧度及/或顏色等的功能層。此種光調節層在本文中可被稱為主動光調節層。
在本說明書中,外部訊號可指例如外部電壓等外部因素,其可影響包含在光調節層中的材料(例如,光調節材料)的行為。因此,無任何外部訊號的狀態可指未施加外部電壓等的狀態。
在本申請案中,光調節層的類型不受特別限制,只要其具有上述功能即可,並且可應用已知的光調節層。光調節層可為例如液晶層、電致變色材料層、光致變色材料層、電泳材料層或分散顆粒取向層。
在一個實例中,液晶層可用作光調節層。液晶層是含有液晶化合物的層。在本說明書中,術語液晶層的範圍包括含有液晶化合物的所有層,且例如,如下所述,包含液晶化合物(液晶主體)及二色性染料的所謂客體主體層、或者包含其他添加劑(例如,手性摻雜劑)以及液晶化合物的層亦為在本說明書中定義的一種液晶層。液晶層可為主動液晶層,且因此液晶化合物可存在於液晶層中,使得取向方向依據是否施加外部訊號而改變。作為液晶化合物,可使用任何種類的液晶化合物,只要可藉由施加外部訊號改變取向方向即可。舉例而言,近晶型液晶化合物、向列型液晶化合物或膽固醇型液晶化合物可用作所述液晶化合物。此外,液晶化合物可為例如不具有可聚合基團或可交聯基團的化合物,使得可藉由施加外部訊號來改變取向方向。
液晶層可包含介電常數各向異性為正或負的液晶化合物。可慮及本申請案的目的適當地選擇液晶的介電常數各向異性的絕對值。術語介電常數各向異性(Δε)可指液晶的水平介電常數(ε//)與垂直介電常數(ε┴)之間的差(ε// - ε┴)。在本說明書中,術語水平介電常數(ε//)指在施加電壓以使得液晶的指向矢(director)與所施加電壓產生的電場方向實質上水平的狀態下沿電場方向量測的介電常數值,且垂直介電常數(ε┴)指在施加電壓以使得液晶的指向矢與所施加電壓產生的電場方向實質上垂直的狀態下沿電場方向量測的介電常數值。
液晶層的驅動模式可由例如動態散射(dynamic scattering,DS)模式、電性可控雙折射(electrically controllable birefringence,ECB)模式、面內切換(in-plane switching,IPS)模式、邊緣場切換(fringe-field switching,FFS)模式、光學補償彎曲(optically compensated bend,OCB)模式、垂直配向(vertical alignment,VA)模式、多域垂直配向(multi-domain vertical alignment,MVA)模式、圖案化垂直配向(patterned vertical alignment,PVA)模式、混合配向向列(hybrid aligned nematic,HAN)模式、扭轉向列(twisted nematic,TN)模式、超級扭轉向列(super twisted nematic,STN)模式或反向扭轉向列(reversed twisted nematic,R-TN)模式及類似模式來舉例說明。
必要時,就與液晶化合物一起控制光透射率可變特性而言,作為液晶層的光調節層可更包含二色性染料。舉例而言,當光調節元件包括一個分層偏振層時,作為液晶層的光調節層可更包含二色性染料。在本說明書中,術語「染料」可指能夠強烈吸收在可見光區域內的至少一部分或全部範圍內(例如,在400奈米至700奈米的波長範圍內)的光及/或使所述光發生形變的材料,且術語「二色性染料」可指能夠各向異性吸收在可見光區域的至少一部分或全部範圍內光的材料。此種染料被稱為例如偶氮染料或蒽醌染料等,但並非僅限於此。
在一個實例中,例如,當光調節元件包括一個分層偏振層時,光調節層是包含液晶化合物及二色性染料的液晶層,其可為所謂的客體主體液晶(guest host liquid crystal,GHLC)層(客體主體液晶胞元)。術語「GHLC層」可指依據液晶的排列將二色性染料排列在一起以分別相對於二色性染料的配向方向及垂直於配向方向的方向表現出各向異性光吸收特性的功能層。舉例而言,二色性染料是光的吸收率隨偏振方向變化的物質,其中若在長軸方向上偏振的光的吸收率大,則其可被稱為p型染料,且若在短軸方向上偏振的光的吸收率大,則其可被稱為n型染料。在一個實例中,當使用p型染料時,在染料的長軸方向上振動的偏振光可被吸收,而在染料的短軸方向上振動的偏振光可被較少吸收而透射。在下文中,除非另有規定,否則假定二色性染料為p型染料。
包含客體主體液晶層作為光調節層的光調節膜層可充當主動偏振層(主動偏振器)。在本說明書中,術語「主動偏振層(主動偏振器)」可指能夠依據外部訊號施加來控制各向異性光吸收的功能組件。此種主動偏振層可與下面描述的被動偏振層區分開來,所述被動偏振層具有恆定的光吸收或光反射特性,而無論是否施加外部訊號。客體主體液晶層可藉由控制液晶及二色性染料的排列來控制平行於二色性染料的排列方向上的偏振光及垂直方向上的偏振光的各向異性光吸收。由於液晶及二色性染料的排列可藉由施加例如磁場或電場等外部訊號來控制,因此客體主體液晶層可依據外部訊號施加來控制各向異性光吸收。
作為光調節層的液晶層亦可包含所謂的手性摻雜劑以及液晶化合物。此種手性摻雜劑可誘發液晶化合物中螺旋結構的取向。
手性摻雜劑可不受任何特別限制地使用,只要其可誘發所需的扭轉而不損害例如向列規則性等液晶性即可。用於誘發液晶分子旋轉的手性摻雜劑需要在分子結構中至少包括手性。手性摻雜劑可藉由例如以下來舉例說明:具有一或兩個或更多個非對稱碳的化合物;在雜原子上具有非對稱點的化合物,例如手性胺或手性亞碸;或者具有軸向非對稱光學活性位點的化合物,例如疊烯類(cumulene)或聯萘酚(binaphthol)。手性摻雜劑可為例如分子量為1,500或小於1,500的低分子量化合物。作為手性試劑,可應用可商業購得的手性向列型液晶等。
此外,手性摻雜劑的比率不受特別限制,但可包含一定比率的手性摻雜劑使得即光調節層的厚度(d,胞元間隙)對藉由添加手性摻雜劑產生的液晶化合物的螺旋結構的節距(p)的比率(d/p)可為0.05或大於0.05、0.1或大於0.1、0.15或大於0.15、0.2或大於0.2、0.25或大於0.25、0.3或大於0.3、0.35或大於0.35、0.4或大於0.4左右、0.45或大於0.45左右、0.5或大於0.5左右、0.55或大於0.55左右、0.6或大於0.6左右、0.65或大於0.65左右、0.7或大於0.7左右、0.75或大於0.75左右、或者0.8或大於0.8左右。此種比率(d/p)與由壓敏黏著劑層或黏著劑層及液晶配向膜引起的液晶化合物的取向相關聯,使得可獲得適合所應用的用途的取向狀態。此外,隨著比率(d/p)更高,光調節元件可更有效地實施透明狀態及黑色狀態,且具體而言,可實施在黑色狀態下透射率被有效抑制的元件。然而,若添加過量的手性摻雜劑來增加比率(d/p),則存在取向穩定性、特別是根據溫度變化的取向穩定性、或者高溫下的取向穩定性降低的問題。然而,當根據本申請案應用兩種手性摻雜劑時,如下所述,即使在比率(d/p)保持為高的狀態下,亦可確保優異的取向穩定性。在另一實例中,比率(d/p)可為2或小於2、1.5或小於1.5、1或小於1、小於1、0.95或小於0.95、0.9或小於0.9、或0.85或小於0.85。
應用手性摻雜劑的所謂扭轉或膽固醇取向模式中的光調節層(液晶層)的節距(p)可藉由使用楔形胞元的量測方法來量測,並且可藉由在德米特羅·波多爾斯基(D. Podolskyy)等人的使用條紋楔形格蘭讓-卡諾胞元準確量測膽固醇節距的簡單方法(Simple method for accurate measurements of the cholesteric pitch using a stripe-wedge Grandjean-Cano cell)(液晶(Liquid Crystals),第35卷,第7期,2008年7月8日,789-791)中闡述的方法來量測。此外,手性摻雜劑的含量(重量%)是藉由方程式100/(螺旋扭轉功率(helical twisting power,HTP)×節距(奈米))計算,其可慮及所需的節距(p)以適當的比率來選擇。
與液晶化合物一起包含在光調節層中的上述附加組分(例如,二色性染料或手性摻雜劑等)的類型不受特別限制,其中可使用已知的組分,並且除了上述組分之外,光調節層可更包含所需的已知組分。
可在光調節膜層中的第一及/或第二基板的第一表面上形成的液晶配向膜的類型不受特別限制。慮及所需的初始取向,可應用已知的垂直或水平配向膜或其他配向膜作為所述液晶配向膜。至於配向膜的類型,可應用接觸配向膜(例如,摩擦配向膜)或非接觸配向膜(例如,光配向膜)。
可作為功能層施加至第一基板的表面的壓敏黏著劑層或黏著劑層的類型不受特別限制。舉例而言,已證實各種類型的壓敏黏著劑或在所述行業中被稱為所謂光學透明黏著劑(optically clear adhesive,OCA)或光學透明樹脂(optically clear resin,OCR)的黏著劑可與液晶配向膜結合誘發液晶化合物的合適取向。作為壓敏黏著劑或黏著劑,例如,可應用丙烯酸壓敏黏著劑或黏著劑、矽酮系壓敏黏著劑或黏著劑、環氧系壓敏黏著劑或黏著劑或胺基甲酸酯系壓敏黏著劑或黏著劑。
作為合適的壓敏黏著劑或黏著劑,可舉例說明矽酮系壓敏黏著劑或黏著劑。矽酮系壓敏黏著劑或黏著劑的特定表面特性可與液晶配向膜(尤其是垂直配向膜)結合誘發適合於所述目的的液晶化合物的取向狀態。
作為矽酮系壓敏黏著劑或黏著劑,可使用可固化矽酮黏著劑或壓敏黏著劑組成物的固化產物(在下文中,可簡稱為可固化矽酮組成物)。可固化矽酮組成物的類型不受特別限制,且舉例而言,可使用可熱固化矽酮組成物或可紫外線固化矽酮組成物。

在作為光調節層的液晶層中,由壓敏黏著劑層或黏著劑層及/或液晶配向膜形成的液晶化合物的初始取向可為垂直取向、水平取向、傾斜取向或展曲取向(spray orientation)。此外,在垂直取向、水平取向、傾斜取向或展曲取向狀態下,液晶化合物可扭轉或可不扭轉從而以扭轉取向或膽固醇取向存在。此處,初始取向是指在未向包括液晶化合物的光調節層施加例如電壓等外部訊號的狀態下的取向。
水平取向、傾斜取向、垂直取向或展曲取向的含義是此項技術中已知的。當光調節層的液晶化合物在初始狀態下保持水平取向、傾斜取向、垂直取向或展曲取向狀態時,其可根據外部訊號改變至其他取向狀態。
在一個實例中,光調節層中的液晶化合物的初始取向可為垂直取向或者類似於垂直取向的取向狀態。此種取向狀態是藉由應用垂直配向膜作為液晶配向膜而獲得的。此種取向在實施所謂的反向扭轉向列(R-TN)取向的組件中是有用的。
光調節層在垂直取向或類似於垂直取向的取向狀態下的面內相位差(基於550奈米的波長)可為例如約30奈米或小於30奈米、25奈米或小於25奈米、20奈米或小於20奈米、15奈米或小於15奈米、10奈米或小於10奈米、或5奈米或小於5奈米,或者可為0奈米或大於0奈米、或大於0奈米。

分隔間隔件的線寬(例如,形成蜂巢的六邊形或四邊形的每一壁的寬度)可在例如約5微米至50微米的範圍中。在另一實例中,線寬可為約10微米或大於10微米、或者15微米或大於15微米,或者亦可為45微米或小於45微米、40微米或小於40微米、35微米或小於35微米、30微米或小於30微米、25微米或小於25微米、或者20微米或小於20微米左右。
在上述範圍內,可適當地保持胞元間隙,並且亦可優異地保持基板之間的黏合性。
在基板之間形成如上球間隔件、柱間隔件或分隔間隔件的方法是已知的。
作為用於向光調節層施加外部訊號的部件,可於光調節膜層的每個基板上形成電極層。舉例而言,電極層可存在於第一基板中的第一表面與壓敏黏著劑或黏著劑層之間(圖2中在100與1001之間)及/或第二基板中的第一表面與配向膜之間(圖2中在200與2001之間)(若存在間隔件,則在間隔件與配向膜之間)。在第二基板的情形中,通常首先在第一表面上形成電極層,並且在其上依序形成間隔件及配向膜,使得當存在間隔件時,電極層可位於第二基板的第一表面與間隔件及配向膜之間。
作為電極層,可應用已知的透明電極層,並且舉例而言,所謂的導電聚合物層、導電金屬層、導電奈米線層或例如氧化銦錫(indium tin oxide,ITO)等金屬氧化物層可用作所述電極層。此外,能夠形成透明電極層的各種材料及形成方法是已知的,其可不受限制地應用。
光調節元件可根據需要在基本上包括光調節膜層的同時包括其他附加構造。亦即,依據驅動模式,即使僅利用光調節膜層,上述透明、黑色、高反射及/或低反射模式的實施以及其之間的切換亦為可能的,但為便於該些模式的實施或切換,亦可包括附加部件。
舉例而言,所述元件可更包括設置於光調節膜層的一側或兩側的偏振層(被動偏振層)。作為以上結構的實例,圖3是在圖2的結構中偏振層(400)僅設置於光調節膜層的一側的情形,且圖4是在圖2的結構中偏振層(400)設置於光調節膜層的兩側的情形。此外,當分隔間隔件被應用為間隔件並且形狀是四邊形(正方形或矩形)時,四邊形的邊及偏振層的吸收軸被適當地設置成彼此實質上垂直或水平。
術語偏振層可指將自然光或非偏振光轉換成偏振光的組件。在一個實例中,偏振層可為線性偏振層。線性偏振層是指選擇性透射光是在任一方向上振動的線性偏振光而選擇性吸收或反射光是在與線性偏振光的振動方向正交的方向上振動的線性偏振光的情形。亦即,線性偏振層可具有在平面方向上彼此正交的透射軸及吸收軸或反射軸。
偏振層可為吸收偏振層或反射偏振層。作為吸收偏振層,例如,可使用其中碘被染色至例如PVA拉伸膜等聚合物拉伸膜的偏振層、或者其中以取向狀態聚合的液晶被用作主體並且沿著液晶的取向排列的二色性染料被用作客體的客體-主體偏振層,但並非僅限於此。
作為反射偏振層,例如,可使用被稱為所謂的雙亮度增強膜(dual brightness enhancement film,DBEF)的反射偏振層或藉由塗佈液晶化合物(例如,溶致液晶(lyotropic liquid crystal,LLC))形成的反射偏振層,但並非僅限於此。
如圖4所示,其可具有其中偏振層設置於光調節膜層兩側的結構。在此種情形中,由設置於兩側的偏振層的透射軸形成的角度可在85度至95度的範圍內,或者近似垂直。
除了以上構造之外,光調節元件可包括其他必要的構造。舉例而言,可添加驅動或使用光調節元件所必需的任何其他構造,例如除了可形成於第一基板的第一表面上的壓敏黏著劑層或黏著劑層之外用於附接其他部件的壓敏黏著劑層或黏著劑層、硬塗膜、抗反射膜及/或近紅外(near-infrared,NIR)切割層。
製造光調節元件的方法不受特別限制,且除了將以上組件用作每個部件之外,所述元件可藉由已知方法製造。
本申請案亦有關於一種包括光調節元件的車輛。在本申請案的車輛中,此種光調節元件包括在天窗或玻璃中。此處,如圖1所示,玻璃可為汽車的前玻璃(100)、側玻璃(200)或後玻璃(300)。此外,圖1中示出了僅形成於汽車的天花板上的部分區域中的天窗(400),但本申請案的天窗的形式並非僅限於圖1所示的形式,並且例如,亦包括其中汽車的天花板的大部分由天窗構成的設計。此外,本申請案的光調節元件可整體構成天窗或汽車玻璃,或者可形成其一部分。
在本申請案的車輛中,當光調節元件包括各向異性基板作為上述結構中的上述基板時,在天窗的情形中,基板的光軸可平行於車輛的寬度方向(即,圖1中示例性示出的虛線方向)。此外,在汽車玻璃的情形中,基板的光軸可平行於基板的地面方向(即,如圖1中的虛線所示,在其四個車輪與地面接觸的狀態下車輛平行於地面的方向,或者車輛的縱向方向)。
根據此種結構,乘客凝視的前方或移動方向與光調節元件的基板的光軸方向等相匹配,由此可改善或消除藉由應用各向異性基板可能出現的光學不均勻性,同時利用基板的優點。
配置此種車輛的方法不受特別限制,並且一般採用構造車輛的天窗或玻璃的方法,但所述製程繼續進行,使得可在構造時慮及光調節元件的光軸方向來達成上述佈置。
實施本申請案的車輛的其他方法不受特別限制,並且可應用已知的方法。
本申請案可提供一種包括各向異性塑膠基板的光調節元件以及其中將光調節元件應用於天窗及/或玻璃的車輛,並且可提供一種能夠消除或改善由於應用各向異性塑膠基板而導致的缺點同時利用光調節元件的優點的車輛。
在下文中,將藉由實例詳細描述本申請案,但本申請案的範圍不受以下實例的限制。
製備例 1. 製造光調節元件( A )
作為第一基板及第二基板,使用厚度約為145微米左右的聚酯膜(SKC,高拉伸PET,面內相位差(基於550奈米的波長):約10,000奈米),其中氧化銦錫(ITO)層在每個第一表面上沈積至一定厚度。在第一基板及第二基板的ITO層的每個表面上形成水平光配向膜(AMP21、LG化學公司(Chem)、降冰片烯系列)。此時,當配向膜形成於第二基板的ITO層的表面上時,將平均直徑(D50直徑)約為12微米的球間隔件分散在配向膜材料中,使得最終產品中液晶層的厚度(胞元間隙)由球間隔件保持。藉由照射線偏振紫外線執行光配向膜的取向,並且將藉由光配向膜進行的液晶化合物的取向執行成與基板的慢軸近似水平。隨後,將包含二色性染料的液晶組成物(由默克(Merck)製造的MDA-14-1235)塗佈在第二基板的配向膜上,並且藉由將其上形成有配向膜的第一基板的表面與液晶組成物的塗佈側層疊以彼此面向而製造了光調節膜層。隨後,將聚(乙烯醇)(poly(vinyl alcohol),PVA)系列的吸收線性偏振層貼附至光調節膜層的一側,以製造光調節元件。在貼附時,使線性偏振層的吸收軸與基板的慢軸彼此水平。
實例 1 及比較例 1
藉由將製備例1的光調節元件(A)應用於車輛的天窗來評估透光率的不均勻性。
將表面光源設置於光調節元件的後表面上,將光調節元件安裝在汽車的天窗位置,使得元件中基板的慢軸平行於汽車的寬度,且然後評估自前方觀察時將視線左右移動的情形中的不均勻性(測試1)。
將表面光源設置於光調節元件的後表面上,將光調節元件安裝在汽車的天窗位置,使得元件中基板的慢軸垂直於汽車的寬度,且然後評估自前方觀察時將視線左右移動的情形中的不均勻性(測試2)。
以上測試1對應於實例1,且測試2對應於比較例1。
圖5至圖7是在以上測試1中分別觀察前方、左側及右側的情形,且圖8至圖10是在以上測試2中分別觀察前方、左側及右側的情形。
如圖所示,在測試1的情形中,即使當觀察者的注視移動時,亦會保持與正面觀察的情形相同的均勻透射率,但在測試2的情形中,根據觀察者注視的移動而出現每個區域的透射率偏差,使得不能確保光學均勻性。
製備例 2. 製造光調節元件( B )
作為第一基板,使用厚度約為145微米左右的聚酯膜(SKC,高拉伸PET,面內相位差(基於550奈米的波長):約10,000奈米),其中氧化銦錫(ITO)層在第一表面上沈積至一定厚度。在第一基板的第一表面上形成壓敏黏著劑層。棒塗矽酮壓敏黏著劑組成物(信越(Shinetsu),KR3700)並在約150℃左右下乾燥了5分鐘,以形成厚度為10微米左右的壓敏黏著劑層。作為第二基板,應用與第一基板相同的基板。首先,作為蜂巢型分隔壁間隔件,以約9%的面積比在第二基板的ITO層上形成分隔壁間隔件,其中構成蜂巢的正六邊形(封閉圖形)具有約350微米左右的節距、約6微米左右的高度(胞元間隙)及約10微米左右的線寬,並且在形成的間隔件上形成垂直配向膜(5661LB3,尼桑(Nissan))。垂直配向膜藉由在一個方向上對其進行摩擦而形成。隨後,將液晶組成物塗佈在第二基板的垂直配向膜的表面上,並且藉由將第一基板的壓敏黏著劑層與液晶組成物的塗佈側層疊以彼此面向而製造了光調節膜層。作為液晶組成物,使用藉由將液晶化合物(由默克公司製造的MAT-19-1261)與手性摻雜劑(由默克公司製造的S811)混合以實施近似20微米左右的節距而配製的組成物。隨後,將聚(乙烯醇)(PVA)系列的兩個吸收線性偏振層貼附至光調節膜層的兩側,以製造光調節元件。在貼附時,使線性偏振層的吸收軸與基板的慢軸彼此垂直或水平,並且使兩個偏振層之間的吸收軸彼此垂直。
實例 2 及比較例 2
藉由將製備例2的光調節元件(A)應用於車輛的天窗來評估透光率的不均勻性。

圖11至圖13是在以上測試3中分別觀察前方、左側及右側的情形,且圖14至圖16是在以上測試4中分別觀察前方、左側及右側的情形。
如圖所示,在測試3的情形中,即使當觀察者的注視移動時,亦會保持與正面觀察的情形相同的均勻透射率,但在測試4的情形中,根據觀察者注視的移動而出現每個區域的透射率偏差,使得不能確保光學均勻性。

Claims (14)
- 一種光調節元件,被配置成包含在車輛的天窗中,包括:光調節膜層,其中所述光調節膜層包括:第一各向異性基板及第二各向異性基板;以及液晶層,其中所述第一各向異性基板及所述第二各向異性基板中的每一者具有第一表面,其中所述第一各向異性基板及所述第二各向異性基板被定位成使得其第一表面彼此面向;其中所述液晶層位於所述第一各向異性基板的所述第一表面與所述第二各向異性基板的所述第一表面之間,並且其中所述第一各向異性基板或所述第二各向異性基板的慢軸被形成為平行於所述車輛的寬度方向設置。
- 一種光調節元件,被配置成包含在車輛的前玻璃、後玻璃或側玻璃中,包括:光調節膜層,其中所述光調節膜層包括:第一各向異性基板及第二各向異性基板;以及液晶層,其中所述第一各向異性基板及所述第二各向異性基板中的每 一者具有第一表面,其中所述第一各向異性基板及所述第二各向異性基板被定位成使得其第一表面彼此面向;其中所述液晶層位於所述第一各向異性基板的所述第一表面與所述第二各向異性基板的所述第一表面之間,並且其中所述第一各向異性基板或所述第二各向異性基板的慢軸被形成為平行於所述車輛的縱向方向設置。
- 如請求項1所述的光調節元件,其中所述光調節元件具有緊固構件或緊固部分,藉由所述緊固構件或所述緊固部分,所述光調節元件被安裝為所述車輛的所述天窗,或者所述光調節元件具有與所述天窗相同的形狀,並且其中所述緊固構件或所述緊固部分或所述形狀被形成為使得當所述光調節元件藉由所述緊固構件或所述緊固部分或根據所述形狀被安裝為所述車輛的所述天窗時,所述第一各向異性基板或所述第二各向異性基板的所述慢軸平行於所述車輛的所述寬度方向設置。
- 如請求項2所述的光調節元件,其中所述光調節元件具有緊固構件或緊固部分,藉由所述緊固構件或所述緊固部分,所述光調節元件被安裝為所述車輛的所述前玻璃、所述後玻璃或所述側玻璃,或者所述光調節元件具有與所述前玻璃、所述後玻璃或所述側玻璃相同的形狀,並且其中所述緊固構件或所述緊固部分或所述形狀被形成為使得 當所述光調節元件藉由所述緊固構件或所述緊固部分或根據所述形狀被安裝為所述車輛的所述前玻璃、所述後玻璃或所述側玻璃時,所述第一各向異性基板或所述第二各向異性基板的所述慢軸平行於所述車輛的所述縱向方向設置。
- 如請求項1或2所述的光調節元件,其中所述第一各向異性基板的所述慢軸與所述第二各向異性基板的所述慢軸彼此平行。
- 如請求項1或2所述的光調節元件,其中所述第一各向異性基板及所述第二各向異性基板各自具有400奈米或大於400奈米的面內相位差。
- 如請求項1或2所述的光調節元件,其中液晶配向膜存在於所述第一各向異性基板的所述第一表面及所述第二各向異性基板的所述第一表面中的每一者上。
- 如請求項1或2所述的光調節元件,其中壓敏黏著劑層或黏著劑層存在於所述第一各向異性基板的所述第一表面上,並且液晶配向膜存在於所述第二各向異性基板的所述第一表面上。
- 如請求項1或2所述的光調節元件,更包括僅設置於所述光調節膜層的一側上的偏振層,其中所述液晶層包含液晶化合物及二色性染料。
- 如請求項9所述的光調節元件,其中所述偏振層的吸收軸與所述第一各向異性基板或所述第二各向異性基板的所述慢軸彼此垂直或水平。
- 如請求項1或2所述的光調節元件,更包括設置於所述光調節膜層兩側上的偏振層,其中所述液晶層包含液晶化合物及手性摻雜劑。
- 如請求項11所述的光調節元件,其中所述偏振層的吸收軸與所述第一各向異性基板或所述第二各向異性基板的所述慢軸彼此垂直或水平。
- 一種車輛,包括:光調節元件,位於天窗中,其中所述光調節元件包括光調節膜層,其中所述光調節膜層包括:第一各向異性基板及第二各向異性基板;以及液晶層,其中所述第一各向異性基板及所述第二各向異性基板中的每一者具有第一表面,其中所述第一各向異性基板及所述第二各向異性基板被定位成使得其第一表面彼此面向;其中所述液晶層位於所述第一各向異性基板的所述第一表面與所述第二各向異性基板的所述第一表面之間,並且其中所述第一各向異性基板或所述第二各向異性基板的慢軸 被形成為平行於所述車輛的寬度方向設置。
