Description

該等文件揭示了模擬香煙裝置,模擬香煙裝置可與具有香煙包裝之尺寸及形狀之再填充包裝合併使用以進行再填充。使用者自包裝取出模擬香煙且抵靠著包裝中之出口持有模擬香煙以再填充模擬香煙。如此設計以模仿自包裝取出真實香煙之行為。藉由複製吸煙行為,該裝置很可能獲得消費者的認可。
然而,在該等申請案中所揭示的模擬香煙裝置及在其他申請案(諸如申請案第US 4,393,884號及申請案第DE 4030257號)中所揭示的類似的香煙裝置事實上僅為圓柱塑料管。
本發明旨在提供一種模擬香煙裝置,該模擬香煙裝置更接近地類似於真實香煙之實體感覺。
根據本發明之第一態樣,所描述種類之模擬香煙之特徵在於:在出口端附近之外殼之外圍具有可變形材料。
該可變形材料能夠藉由吸煙者之食指及拇指來擠壓或撓曲。這對吸煙者而言為重要的特徵結構,且為吸煙習慣之行為循環之一部分。因此,本發明之第一態樣提供了與習知香煙類似的一觸覺。同時,就吸入而論,可變形材料為使用者提供了較逼真的吸煙經歷。因為使用者通常用其嘴唇或牙齒噘起吸入裝置,所以讓使用者擠壓的材料可變形有好處。
除提供增加的舒適度之外,可變形材料亦可用於影響可吸入性組合物之流量特性。較佳地,將可變形材料設置為可相對於出口通道而變形,以改變來自出口通道之流量特性。使用此種可變形材料,使用者可擾亂引起渦流之可吸入性材料之流量,渦流將改變來自儲存槽之輸送。這模仿了吸煙者藉由擠壓過濾嘴以減小孔隙尺寸,進而相應地改變煙霧之流量,來改變習知煙草香煙之輸送的方式。這允許使用者藉由縮小出口通道且進而加快流速來改變流量。
為進一步增強由使用者所施加的控制,出口閥較佳為呼吸啟動(breath-activated)閥,呼吸啟動閥在與穿過出口通道之流量平行的一致動(actuation)通道中,由穿過外殼之空氣流致動,並且其中可變形材料係經安置,以使變形可深入外殼至一位置,在該位置影響穿過致動通道及出口通道中之至少一者的流量,以影響使用者自香煙接收的可吸入性組合物之劑量。
若使用者使致動通道縮緊,則打開該閥所需的吸力增加,同時縮緊出口通道使流速增加。這對吸煙者而言為重要的可適應行為模式,因為當吸煙者需要吸得較深時(通常求之若渴),其可經由此動作改變吸入腔室且適度地增加流速,且因此吸入肺之速度允許精細地控制流量特性。此外,若該使用者施加比往常的吸力較低之力且使腔室縮緊,則裝置可以相反之方式作用:藉由對施加於呼吸啟動系統上之呼吸力產生限制,且因此限制閥門開口,從而由使用者限制流速。因此藉由允許該流徑之變形,與一煙草香煙類似,可更加精細地控制流量特性。

除使用放熱反應以在香煙之煙嘴附近提供溫熱感覺之外,或作為其替代,香煙可經設置為向內導引產生之熱量,以便加熱出口通道中之可吸入性組合物。
該狀況形成本發明之第二態樣,本發明之第二態樣可廣義地定義為所描述種類之模擬香煙,該模擬香煙進一步包含:化學加熱器,其位於出口通道之附近,且經配置以得以致動經歷放熱反應,以當可吸入性組合物沿出口通道行進時,將該可吸入性組合物加熱。
舉例而言,在申請案第EP 1 618 803號及申請案第WO 2009/155957號中,已知模擬香煙之熱量產生。然而,在該等狀況下,熱量用於使組合物汽化。在本發明之第二態樣中,可吸入性組合物自儲存槽釋放,且隨後由加熱器加熱。

較佳地,包覆材料具有疏水性,以使其不會吸收來自使用者嘴巴、來自周圍環境或來自填充過程之水分。該包覆材料較佳為一拭即淨(wipe-clean)紙。該包覆材料亦較佳為阻燃劑,以防危險或錯誤點火。較佳地,該包覆材料具備一香氣成分(例如,薄荷醇)及/或一抗菌劑。
類紙質包覆材料之此類實例為共同擠出的雙軸定向電暈處理之聚丙烯酯粒(polyproplyene),該聚丙烯酯粒與丙烯酸基黏著劑位於一起。該黏著劑為包含與丙烯酸共聚合之丙烯酸酯之水媒丙烯酸基黏著劑。
此為在超級壓光的玻璃紙上層壓之狀況,其產生紙質包覆材料之形象及質感,其中透明度為約30-60%,最佳地為45%。在丙烯酸酯聚合物中呈其完成固化形式之相容性墨水(較佳地,由丙烯酸酯混合物組成之原料)含有極少剩餘單體,以改良系統之化學穩定性。亦可用在玻璃紙之上噴佈銀離子塗層的方式浸漬此類系統,以限制在連續使用過程中之任何微生物活性,且在塗覆黏著劑層及壓出的聚丙烯酯粒之前,可用相容性阻燃劑材料噴射末端。
另外,層壓在該系統上分層,以改良穩定性及使用持續時間。使用較高強度的丙烯酸黏著劑,以將玻璃紙之層壓襯墊附著至吸入器之塑料底盤管,以便其將保持於固定位置中,在該規定儲存壽命期間不致舒展或散開。此系統應在不累及阻力(reststance)之狀況下,併入密度盡可能低的共同擠出的雙軸定向電暈處理之聚丙烯酯粒,以改良包覆材料之固定穩定性。
當與部件之生物相容性有關時,系統應遵循根據ISO 10993條款明確規定之準則。同樣地,塑料塗層應遵循根據歐洲藥典條款之材料安全測試指南,以確保與暫態空腔黏膜接觸之相容性,其中黏著劑層確保與歐洲食品指引性立法、食品藥物管理局(Food and Drug Administration;FDA) 175.105及由聯邦風險評估機構(Bundesinstitut fr Risikobewertung;BfR)公佈之德國建議XIV之相容性。根據由將確保重複使用之安全性的第92/59 EEC號指令第2(b)條給出的材料描述,亦應將此結構歸類為安全產品。
可單獨使用該包覆材料,但當結合本發明之第一態樣之可變形材料及/或本發明之第二態樣之加熱器使用時尤其有利,此因該整體效應最接近地類似於一真實香煙。
在本發明之所有態樣中,該儲存槽較佳為加壓式,且較佳為可再填充式。較佳地,經由在與香煙出口相對之端部處之再填充閥進行再填充。
根據本發明之各種態樣之模擬香煙之實例現將參照隨附圖式以描述。
裝置具有外殼1,其由如第2圖所圖示的主底盤2及閉合元件3組成。這由標籤4保持於適當位置。在外殼內存在含有可吸入性組合物之儲存槽5。此狀況較佳為加壓式,但亦可結合文氏(Venturi)噴嘴與非加壓式儲存槽一起工作,以在儲存槽上產生增強的吸力。如申請案第WO 2009/001082號所述,儲存槽可經由填充閥6再填充,或該裝置可為單用途裝置,或該裝置可經配置以使儲存槽5為可置換部件。
呼吸啟動閥7係位於出口端8與儲存槽5之間。呼吸啟動閥係經配置,以便當使用者吮吸出口端8時,呼吸啟動閥7打開,以允許吸入來自儲存槽5之可吸入性組合物。
在閥門7處之外殼下游具有兩個通道。該等通道中之第一通道為與腔室10相通之吸入通道9,如下文將作更詳細描述;以及第二通道為組合物通道11,可吸入性組合物自其進行配送。這於下文亦更詳細地描述。吸入通道及組合物通道交會於通向出口端8之出口通道13處。
在儲存槽5與組合物通道11之間具備可變形管狀噴嘴14。該元件藉由如下所述之機構,可在打開配置與閉合配置之間選擇性地變形。
該機構包含樞軸式安裝的葉片15及薄膜16。樞軸式安裝的葉片在最靠近出口端8之端部處具有樞軸17,且具有沿自身長度延伸且自出口端遠離而漸狹之中心加強肋18。約於中點處,葉片15具備用於收納彈簧20之凹槽19,彈簧20使葉片15偏向於第1圖中所圖示之閉合位置。在凹槽19下方為具有三角形橫斷面之顎21,顎21經配置以在狹窄區域上將自葉片15提供之力施加至噴嘴14(雖然第1圖所圖示之噴嘴處於其未壓縮、打開狀態,然而在使用中若葉片處於此位置,則顎將使噴嘴變形以密封儲存槽)。葉片15由隔膜16支撐,隔膜16係於端部22、23處密封至外殼。
入口24係具備以進入腔室10中,而薄膜16之下側對大氣壓力開放,成為存在穿過外殼1之洩漏路徑,該路徑未圖示於第1圖及第2圖之平面中而未圖示圖式中。
當使用者吮吸出口端8時,空氣經由入口24被吸入,穿過腔室10,且出至吸入通道9,進而降低腔室10中之壓力。這導致葉片15抵抗彈簧20之動作而舉升,從而使隔膜變形且舉升顎21,以允許可變形噴嘴14打開,進而允許來自儲存槽5之可吸入性組合物沿組合物通道11進入至出口通道13中,可吸入性組合物與吸入空氣在出口通道13混合。由使用者所施加的吸吮程度將決定葉片15移動範圍,且進而決定使用者所接收的組合物量。一旦使用者停止吸入,大氣壓力將返回至腔室10,且彈簧20將把葉片向下推,進而夾緊噴嘴14使其閉合。
到此為止所描述之模擬香煙通常為如申請案第WO 2011/015825號中所描述之模擬香煙。
外殼1在出口端處具備環繞出口通道13之通常為環狀的凹槽30。在此環狀凹槽內有可變形構件31,其就地與外殼1之表面齊平,如第1圖中所圖示。可變形構件31可為彈性構件,或可為含有液體或凝膠之薄壁膠囊,此於下文更詳細描述。環狀端緣32存在於香煙之出口端處。該環狀端緣可能比圖示的端緣更薄,或可能根本不存在。
可變形構件31通常位於由習知香煙之過濾嘴所佔據的區域中。因此,使用者能夠以擠壓香煙之過濾嘴之方式來擠壓香煙之端部,且將香煙之端部保持於其嘴中,且在兩種狀況下均獲得與真實香煙之觸覺相當之觸覺。
此外,在出口通道13附近之外殼1具備一對徑向相對的開口33,且如第1圖所示,可變形構件31係經配置以膨脹穿過該等開口33,以伸出至出口通道13中。當使用者在可變形構件上擠壓時,可變形構件膨脹至通道13中的程度有所變化。若使用者擠壓可變形構件31之頂部(以第1圖中所圖示之方向),則可變形構件31將限制穿過吸入通道9之流量,此舉之效應為:使用者將需要更用力地吮吸裝置,以達成所要的吸入程度。若其擠壓可變形構件31之下部,則其將限制穿過組合物通道11之流量,此舉之效應為:若閥門完全打開,則流速將增加且加快輸送之路程。同時擠壓可變形構件31之頂部及底部,不僅將增加阻力,且需要更用力地吮吸裝置,而且藉由組合物通道11之結構本質,加快流量及輸送速度。這對當求之若渴時希望加快攝取速度之吸煙者而言為有用的特徵。因此,使用者能自我調節來自香煙之可吸入性組合物之流量,猶如其能藉由擠壓過濾嘴來處理習知香煙一樣。
除提供觸覺益處及調節流量之能力之外,亦可將可變形構件31設計為加熱器。
如上文提及,可變形構件31可含有液體或凝膠。該物質可能為醋酸鹽,且較佳為過飽和醋酸鈉。該物質可封裝至具有聚合腸衣或纖維素腸衣(cellulostic casing)之微膠囊中。若存在約20個此類微膠囊,則裝置可重複使用若干次,每次破壞少量膠囊。在可變形構件31內且環繞內壁的部分為鐵金屬或其他金屬之層、盤或薄膜,該金屬經層砌(course)以提供更大之反應性表面積。當使用者輕敲可變形元件31之外壁時,諸如吸煙者習慣性進行以釋放積聚在香煙尖端上之灰燼,將醋酸鈉晶體釋放至隨後充當為成核位置之溶液中。這導致溶液突然結晶,從而釋放出能量,且進而向周圍材料產生使用者可感知的熱效應。該熱量可經控制以確保溫度令人愉悅且溫暖,並且不接近可能影響裝置之完整性之較高溫度。為了能夠使裝置持續若干次再填充,可變形構件31可由多層或多隔室34組成,各自單獨連接以分離溶液及鐵金屬。有可能的是,可變形構件31之外壁可為允許將最小熱量傳導至裝置之外的良好絕緣體,以便,反之,向內導引熱量以加熱穿過上通道13之流量。
第3A圖至第3C圖及第4圖圖示了可變形元件31之替代性設計。在第3A圖及第4圖中,含有醋酸鹽之複數個易碎球35各自位在提供成核位置之鐵盤36上。可變形構件之外壁上之壓力破壞某些易碎球,以使醋酸鹽與鐵盤接觸,從而引發成核且導致放熱反應。
在第3B圖中,用鈣粉填充隔室34,且沿各隔室之縱長配置含有水之易碎球37。再次地,可變形構件31上之壓力破壞球37,且水及氯化鈣發生放熱反應。
在第3C圖中,各隔室34含有狹長鐵盤38,隔室以醋酸鹽填充。在此情況下,可變形構件31上之壓力導致盤38之突然「閃速(snap)」變形以觸發成核。
其他化學熱源例如可包括但不限於,利用氯化鈣及含有純蒸餾水之儲存槽之就地組合。由薄膜或隔膜使氯化鈣與水分離,當輕敲或推動時,薄膜或隔膜喪失其腸衣之完整性且允許水散逸,因此導致放熱反應發生。為了以多相方式來使用,蒸餾水可製造成在直徑不超過2 mm之聚合腸衣或纖維素腸衣中之微膠囊、顆粒或球粒。該等微膠囊可位於腔室內,且均勻地分佈在精細研磨之氯化鈣粉末之周圍層附近。當使用者擠壓可變形構件31(煙嘴之元件)時,向微膠囊施加壓力,以使微膠囊腸衣破裂,且釋放微膠囊腸衣之蒸餾水內容物。可將約20個微球粒配置於可變形腔室內,以便在使用香煙裝置時存在多啟動機會。
如第1圖可見,表示自儲存槽5之有效出口之顎21係位於距出口端8相當距離之處。該距離較佳為大於10 mm。這意謂著組合物在被吸煙者吸入之前,必須流動合理的距離以穿過裝置。因此,可由環繞組合物通道11及出口通道13之外殼來暖化可吸入性組合物。若將該狀況設計成與如上所述之放熱元件一樣,則吸入性組合物由來自吸入通道9之空氣稀釋且暖化,且吸入性組合物亦可由產生於可變形構件31中之熱量加熱。因此,吸煙者所吸入的組合物係經暖化至理想地複製來自真實香煙之煙霧溫度的程度,但至少經暖化至以便不會導致不適的程度。
標籤4為環繞大部分模擬香煙之整個曲面之紙質外包覆材料。如第2圖所示,紙質外包覆材料分為兩部分40及41,這兩部分經塗色且帶花樣以類似於具有過濾嘴端之習知香煙。結合可變形構件31,香煙之出口端無論外觀及感覺均與習知香煙之過濾嘴相似。紙具有雷射鑽出的至少一個孔,入口24便不會被阻塞。
經塗覆塗層不僅表現出疏水性質,而且產生疏油及抗油表面,以排斥在再填充過程期間可能會溢出或偶然排出的水、表面上之廢屑及任何調配物。如此確保香煙紙不會撕裂或玷污,此因調配物可能含有將導致香煙紙快速褪色且減少其結構完整性之丙二醇、聚乙二醇(polyethylene glycol;PEG)或芳香油。同樣地,塗層可用於諸如磷酸酯基的應用,且以單層來塗覆。該塗層可由(例如)Aculon Inc提供。該塗層亦將賦予額外的拭淨品質,以便廢屑不會積聚在煙嘴上。由於裝置係意欲為可棄式,所以可將塗層單獨塗覆於煙嘴及再填充閥端,以減少廢屑進入及紙撕裂之可能性。該狀況亦提供了增強的消費者之反應,以便(例如)若偶爾塗覆唇膏,則使用者可較容易地清潔煙嘴端,而無須擔心紙或織品撕裂。
另外,氟聚合物可作為粉末或噴霧,以用於直接塗覆於紙或織品塗層,且提供必需的抗油/抗水性質。該等物質可包括聚四氟乙烯(polytetrafluoroethylene;PTFE)、過氟烷氧基聚合物樹脂(perfluoroalkoxy polymer resin;PFA)、氟化乙烯-丙烯共聚物(fluorinated ethylene-propylene;FEP)及乙烯-四氟乙烯共聚物(polyethylenetetrafluoroethylene;ETFE),但不限於該等種類之氟聚合物。選擇塗層時應當心,尤其若頻繁地接觸皮膚時,塗層應表現出適當的生物材料相容性。
包覆材料可為類紙質材料,諸如緊密編織棉或其他織品,且可使用二氧化矽或二氧化鈦粒子之塗層為裝置提供疏水性質,其中由於調配物之組合不同,因此並不需要抗油性質。
較佳地,所使用的材料不僅含有疏水性質、疏油性質及抗油性質,而且具有阻燃能力。此係用於在裝置過度暴露於火焰或明火之狀況下將其保護。此類塗層可包括三氫化鋁(Aluminium Trihydride;ATH)、三氧化二銻(Sb203)及硼酸鋅。就此方面的用途而言,在醫藥學等級規格下亦可使用氧化鋅。
亦可塗覆可購自ISC Ltd之特用化學品,即MP Protect,其合併用於富含纖維素之基板之阻燃系統,富含纖維素之基板諸如木材、紙棉及某些織物應用。這將允許塗層不僅能夠耐受火焰(根據DIN 53438標準燃燒測試),而且具有給予抗菌品質之性質,該品質可破壞諸如流行性感冒、沙門桿菌屬及退伍軍人桿菌屬之微生物。若裝置在社會情境中日常共享,則對裝置而言,該性質為重要特質。
作為一個塗層之一部分,或除數個塗層之外,而局部地塗覆在煙嘴上之煙嘴上的抗菌塗層可尤為有利。此類塗層可包括:薄層銀、併入織品之離子化銀、銀合金或氧化物,其將有助於減少細菌傳播,且已獲FDA批準,可用於諸如氣管內呼吸管之呼吸裝置。若裝置在最終被處理掉之前已使用多次,則該狀況將為裝置提供改良之衛生態樣。

Claims (20)
- 一種模擬香煙,包含:一外殼,該外殼具有一類似通常香煙之形狀及尺寸;一可吸入性組合物之儲存槽,該儲存槽在該外殼內;一呼吸啟動出口閥,該呼吸啟動出口閥控制來自該儲存槽之該流量;一出口通道,該出口通道在該外殼中自該呼吸啟動出口閥至一出口,一使用者自該出口吸入該組合物;該模擬香煙之特徵在於,在該出口的終端附近之該外殼之外圍具有一可變形材料。
- 如請求項1所述之模擬香煙,其中該可變形材料係配置為相對於該出口通道可變形,以改變來自該出口通道之該流量特性。
- 如請求項1所述之模擬香煙,進一步包含:一呼吸啟動閥,該呼吸啟動閥在與穿過該出口通道之該流量平行的一致動通道中,由穿過該外殼之一空氣流致動;並且其中該可變形材料係經安置,以使變形可深入該外殼至一位置,在該位置影響穿過該致動通道及該出口通道中之至少一者的該流量,以影響一使用者自該香煙接收的可吸入性組合物之該劑量。

- 如請求項8或請求項9所述之模擬香煙,其中該加熱器具有凝膠或液體,該凝膠或液體為過飽和,且係經配置以在輕敲該香煙後即與成核位置接觸,以形成晶體且經歷一放熱反應。
