Description

水晶體輸送系統
本發明有關人工水晶體(IOL)且更特別有關用來將IOL注射至一眼中之裝置。
發明背景
人眼就最簡單功能來說係藉由將光透射及折射經過一稱為角膜的無色外部分、且進一步利用水晶體將影像聚焦至位於眼睛背部的網膜上來提供視力。經聚焦影像的品質係依據包括眼睛的尺寸、形狀與長度、及角膜與水晶體的形狀與透明度等數項因素而定。
當創傷、年齡或疾病造成水晶體變得較不透明,因為可透射至網膜的光減少使得視力惡化。眼鏡水晶體的此缺陷在醫學上稱為白內障。對於此狀況之治療方式係為手術移除水晶體並植入一人工水晶體或IOL。
雖然早期的IOL由諸如聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)等硬塑料製造,矽氧、軟性丙烯酸及水凝膠製成的軟性、可摺疊式IOL因為能夠摺疊或滾動這些軟性水晶體並經由一較小切口予以插入所以已經變得日益普遍。使用數種滾動或摺疊水晶體的方法。一種普遍的方法係為一注射器匣,其摺疊水晶體並提供一可供水晶體穿過通常被一軟性末梢端柱塞推入眼中之相對較小直徑管腔。最常用的注射器匣設計係顯示於美國專利案4,681,102(巴帖爾(Bartell))中,並包括一經分割、縱向鉸接的匣。類似的設計顯示於美國專利案5,494,484及5,499,987(范苟德(Feigold))及5,616,148及5,620,450(伊苟思(Eagles)等人)中。為了企圖迴避美國專利案4,681,102的申請專利範圍,已調查數種實心匣,譬如請見美國專利案5,275,604(芮尼須(Rheinish)等人)及5,653,715(瑞克(Reich)等人)。
與先前技藝匣使用之手持件概括係利用一柱塞將水晶體推押通過匣。柱塞係被使用者(類似於注射器)推出或為螺紋式且藉由轉動一捻指輪而前進。使用何者樣式的手持件一般係取決於外科醫師的喜好,但單一手持件可有利地含有一容許作兩類型運動之機構。
為此,仍需要一具有一可藉由推押或藉由轉動一捻指螺絲而前進的柱塞之水晶體輸送系統手持件。
發明概要
本發明藉由提供一具有一包含一球鎖環的螺紋式柱塞桿之水晶體輸送系統手持件來改良先前技藝。鎖固該環係藉由轉動一指捻螺絲或圓把造成柱塞前進。解鎖該環係藉由類似注射器方式推押於指捻螺絲或圓把上容許柱塞前進。
為此,本發明之一目的係提供一具有一包含一鎖固環的手持件之水晶體輸送系統。
本發明之另一目的係提供一具有一包含一柱塞的手持件之水晶體輸送系統,其中該柱塞可藉由推押或轉動一圓把而前進。
將參照圖式以及圖式與申請專利範圍的下文描述得知本發明之其他目的、特徵構造及優點。

較佳實施例之詳細說明
如第1及4圖清楚地顯示,本發明的水晶體輸送系統10概括包括匣12及手持件14。手持件14概括由筒16、球鎖環18(以部份橫剖視圖顯示於第1圖中)及柱塞桿20所組成。如第1及5圖清楚地顯示,柱塞桿20含有遠末梢端22及近端23,其可旋轉地軸頸式接合至具溝槽之外軸24中使得外軸24自由地旋動於柱塞桿20的近端23上。圓把26剛性地附接至外軸24。銷針35配合抵住柱塞桿20的扁平部分37以使圓把26及外軸24的旋轉不會造成柱塞桿20旋轉,而是柱塞桿20可於筒16內自由地往復運動。筒16含有其中可供收納匣12之缺口部分28以使柱塞桿20的末梢端22於匣12的內孔30內往復運動。
如第2及3圖清楚地顯示,球鎖環18含有複數個球34,其尺寸可配合於外軸24的溝槽32內。環18亦含有對應於球34區位之與溝槽32相對的複數個釋放角36。如第2圖所示,逆時針方向旋轉球鎖環18將強迫球34進入溝槽32中並防止柱塞桿20藉由推押於圓把26上被前進。而是,圓把26的轉動係造成球34騎乘於具溝槽之外軸24的溝槽32內,藉以螺紋式推押或拉取於柱塞桿的近端23上並造成柱塞桿20的末梢端22在匣12的內孔30內之對應往復運動。如第3圖清楚地顯示,順時針方向旋轉球鎖環18係強迫球34離開溝槽32並容許柱塞桿20藉由推押於圓把26上而前進。分度盤銷38及槽40防止球鎖環18過度旋轉。

Claims (3)

  1. 一種人工水晶體輸送系統,包含:a)一匣,其具有一內孔;b)一手持件,該手持件具有一用以收納該匣之缺口部分;c)一柱塞,其被同軸地收納於該手持件中,該柱塞具有一遠末梢端及一與該遠末梢端相對之近端,當該匣被收納於該手持件的缺口部分中時,該末梢端於該匣的內孔內往復運動;d)一具溝槽之外軸,其被收納於該柱塞的近端上;e)一球鎖環,其可旋轉地安裝於該手持件上,該球鎖環具有複數個騎乘於該外軸的溝槽內之鎖固球;及f)複數個釋放角,其對應於該等鎖固球位於該球鎖環中,該等釋放角回應於該球鎖環的旋轉交替地強迫該等鎖固球進入及離開該外軸中的溝槽。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項之水晶體輸送系統,其中強迫該等鎖固球離開該外軸中的溝槽使該柱塞可在該手持件內被推押。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第1項之水晶體輸送系統,其中該具溝槽之外軸的旋轉造成該柱塞於該手持件內往復運動。
