O:\70\70184-920714.DOC 583093 因此有需要開發一種疊層及其製造方法,其具高彈性及 彈性恢復性’供於可掘棄物件市場使用。此外,亦需開發 一種登層及其製造方法,其可消除既往技藝疊層上形成之 初始撕裂點。另外需要製造一種疊層,其在疊層預定伸展 延長度上具有相當高抗撕裂性。最後,需要減少製造該疊 層必要步驟數目,而同時保持有上述性質。 發明摘要 本發明係提供一種改良之薄膜/不織複合物,其僅在橫機 械方向伸展’且具有流體與空氣可滲透性質。 本發明一項具體實例之薄膜/不織複合物,包含兩合併層 貼合在一蕊層。該合併層由單向性及非單向性纖維組成。 該單向性及非單向性纖維提供複合物上之可伸展及不可伸 展區域。 複合物各層以個別點熔接。一項具體實例中,以一種超 音波焊頭熔接該複合物。經熔接後,複合物上形成下列各 別區域:未溶接區,結合區,及膜區。該未溶接區係指環 繞溶接點之複合物區域。該溶接點為形成實際結合形式, 其係在熔接步驟由外力及熱/熔融能量作用之聚合物融 體。該膜區為非常薄之可渗透聚合物原料膜,於熱/溶融能 量施加後仍保持不變者。 形成複合物後,複合物部份區域具高彈性。該複合物可 由使用者伸展以在膜區撕開膜,使膜具有透氣性。該合併 層纖維在機械方向張力破裂對在橫機械方向張力破裂比例 為約1.8:1。

O:\70\70184-920714.DOC -11 - 583093 伸展複合物21以破壞膜22而得,其後使複合物21回復原長 度。 實驗明 以下所述實驗係作為示範在各種疊層性質加諸透氣性之 影響。實驗分三步驟: 1. 叠層形成步驟 2. 疊層活化步驟 3·疊層性質量化步驟。 該疊層形成步驟為產生三種樣本疊層,樣本A、樣本B、 及樣本C。樣本A包含一彈性膜,其係以超音波結合,並使 用Softspan不織布於該膜兩側。樣本B包含由超音波熔接 並在兩側由同樣樣本八之s〇ftspan不織布覆蓋之彈性 膜。此外,各Softspan不織布層在附上膜各側之前,以一 縮頸(neck-in)比例2:1合併。樣本c與樣本b相同,唯該 Softspan不織布層於附上膜各側之前,以縮頸(neck_in) ^ 例3:1合併。 於疊層活化或開口步驟中,藉著伸展各樣本不同長度後 再恢復原長度’於樣本A、^C上產生開口。此項實驗中, 該疊層以手伸展。特^言之,在各樣本上作出,英叶記號, 再將該原料伸展到預定延長度。再令原料伸展不同量,記 錄伸展該量所需作用力。 以下表1及圖5顯示樣本a、b及C各預伸展100%後’其伸 展f為之比較。由數據得知,合併樣本B與c較未合併樣本 A仔到額外1〇〇%延長度。樣本B與C需較小作用力伸展,尤
