作為螺旋式擠壓機之一例之具有滾壓模的擠壓機,係具備有:於軸部的外周面設有螺旋狀翼板的螺桿、以及容納螺桿的擠壓筒。在翼板的前端部,且是在翼板之旋轉方向背側,設有作為翼板擴厚部的肋。

Description

螺旋式擠壓機
本發明,是關於進行混煉物之擠壓的螺旋式擠壓機。
於汽車用輪胎的製造過程中,使用擠壓成形機,其設置在作為輪胎之原料的橡膠的混煉機下面,將從混煉機所投入的橡膠(混煉物)一邊連續地擠壓並一邊成形為薄片狀。作為有關此種擠壓成形機的技術,例如有記載於後述之專利文獻1者。於專利文獻1所記載的技術,是關於構成上述之擠壓成形機的螺桿的技術。於螺桿的芯部以及翼板的內部,設有使水等之媒體循環的流路,利用將溫度調整後之上述媒體流動於該流路,來將包含翼板部之螺桿整體的溫度均一地控制,以防止混煉物對螺旋面的附著。
近年,低油耗輪胎的需求日增。在作為低油耗輪胎之原料的橡膠中,大多以較高的比例調配有氧化矽。但調配有較高比例之氧化矽的橡膠(混煉物),於擠壓成形機中卻有不易成形為薄片狀的問題。因此,不僅在上游側製程的混煉機中,在擠壓成形機中都期望能提高橡 膠(混煉物)的分散混合性。對於提高橡膠(混煉物)的分散混合性,就必須對混煉物施加更多的能(energy)。
作為關於構成能夠提高橡膠分散混合性之擠壓成形機的螺桿的技術,例如有後述之專利文獻2所記載者。於專利文獻2中,記載著縮小構成螺桿之翼板的扭轉角度、或是增厚翼板整體。

然而,對於要在中途變更翼板的扭轉角度,其加工極為困難。又,若將翼板整體增厚設計時,翼板的彎曲加工、切削加工等之加工就較為困難。如此地,要縮小螺桿之翼板的扭轉角度、或是要增厚翼板整體,就會使螺桿的製作困難。
本發明,是有鑑於上述實情而研創,其目的在於提供一種可以提高混煉物的分散混合性,且具備有製作容易之構造之螺桿的螺旋式擠壓機。
本發明的螺旋式擠壓機,是具備:於軸部的外周面設置有螺旋狀之翼板的螺桿、以及容納上述螺桿的擠壓筒,用以進行混煉物之擠壓的螺旋式擠壓機,其特徵為:在上述翼板的前端部且是在上述翼板之旋轉方向背側,設有翼板擴厚部。
若依據此構成,則位在翼板的前端部與擠壓筒的內面之間的翼板的旋轉方向上的間隙之距離變長。藉此,由於剪斷力在該間隙部分時間較長地施加於混煉物,而增加施加於混煉物的能(energy),因而增高混煉物的分散混合性。若對混煉物只要比以往較長時間地增加剪斷力的話,亦可以在翼板前端部之旋轉方向前面側設置翼板擴厚部。不過,在本發明中是將翼板擴厚部設置在翼板前端部的旋轉方向背側。藉此,相較於將翼板擴厚部設置於翼板前端部之旋轉方向前面側的情形時,可以使混煉物滑順地流入於翼板前端部與擠壓筒的內面之間的間隙。其結果,會增加流入於翼板前端部與擠壓筒的內面之間的間隙而受到剪斷力(所混煉)之混煉物的量。
又,由於並不是如先前技術般地要增厚翼板的整體,而是僅增厚翼板的一部分,所以比先前技術容易製作。
又於本發明中,設有上述翼板擴厚部之上述前端部的外周面,是在上述翼板的旋轉方向上形成圓弧形狀;上述擠壓筒的內壁面之中的至少一部分的面,係與包含上述翼板擴厚部之上述前端部的外周面之間,設成形成 同樣尺寸之間隙的圓弧形狀為佳。
若依據此構成,則由於混煉物滑順地流動在翼板前端部與擠壓筒的內面之間的間隙,所以更能夠使流入於翼板前端部與擠壓筒的內面之間的間隙而受到剪斷力(所混煉)之混煉物的量增加。
再者,於本發明中,上述翼板擴厚部,是使其厚度隨著朝向上述軸部的中心側而減少為佳。
若依據此構成,則可以防止混煉物滯留在翼板的旋轉方向背側。藉此,可以防止混煉物的劣化。
再者,於本發明中,上述擠壓筒,係具有:於上部設有混煉物供給口的擠壓筒上游部、以及周圍由壁面所包圍的擠壓筒下游部;上述翼板之中之設有上述翼板擴厚部的部分,是配置在上述擠壓筒下游部為佳。
若依據此構成,則由於周圍由壁面所包圍的擠壓筒下游部相較於在上部設有混煉物供給口的擠壓筒上游部,混煉物的逃逸空隙較少,所以藉由將翼板之中之設有翼板擴厚部的部分配置於上述之擠壓筒下游部,可以提高混煉效果。
再者,於本發明中,上述翼板之中之被配置在上述擠壓筒下游部的部分,係設有複數條的翼板部為佳。
若依據此構成,則藉由將翼板部設為複數條,由於螺桿的扭力(混煉能)與此特徵大致呈比例地增加,所以可以更加提高混煉效果。
依據本發明,能夠提供一種螺旋式擠壓機,其可以提高混煉物的分散混合性,且具備有製作容易之構造的螺桿。

第1圖是作為本發明之螺旋式擠壓機之一實施形態之具有滾壓模的擠壓機的平面斷面圖。
第2圖為第1圖的II-II斷面圖,且是本發明之一實施形態之具有滾壓模的擠壓機的縱向斷面圖。
第3圖為第2圖的III-III斷面中之第1螺桿側的模式斷面圖。
第4圖是用以說明流動解析的解析條件之相當於第3圖的模式斷面圖。
第5圖是用以顯示翼板擴厚部之變形例之相當於第3圖的模式斷面圖。
第6圖是用以顯示翼板之變形例之相當於第3圖的模式斷面圖。
以下,對於用以實施本發明的形態,參照圖面進行說明。在以下的實施形態顯示的螺旋式擠壓機,是 將橡膠等之高分子材料的混煉物擠壓成形成薄片狀之具有滾壓模的螺桿擠壓機(以下,稱為「具有滾壓模的擠壓機」)。又,本發明的螺旋式擠壓機,亦可以使用在:將高分子材料的混煉物從具有多數圓形孔的擠壓模予以擠壓之後,切斷成形為圓筒狀粒塊之被稱為製粒機的機械。
(具有滾壓模的擠壓機的構成)
參照第1圖~第3圖,同時對於本發明之一實施形態之具有滾壓模的擠壓機1進行說明。具有滾壓模的擠壓機1,係具有:用以進行混煉物之擠壓的2根螺桿(第1螺桿2、第2螺桿3)、以及容納螺桿2、3的擠壓筒4。於擠壓筒4的前方,配置有上下一對的滾筒9、10。於擠壓筒4與滾筒9、10之間,設有積存藉由螺桿2、3所擠壓出之混煉物的積存部11。滾筒9、10,是以相互相反方向進行旋轉的方式所連結。又,滾筒9、10,是被稱為滾壓模。
擠壓筒4,係具有:於上部設有混煉物供給口14a的擠壓筒上游部14、以及周圍由壁面所框圍的擠壓筒下游部24。從其上方被供給於混煉物供給口14a之橡膠等的混煉物,是藉由相互朝向相反方向旋轉的螺桿2、3被往積存部11擠壓,然後,藉由通過滾筒9、10之間而形成為薄片狀。
對於螺桿2、3進行說明。又,第1螺桿2及第2螺桿3,由於除了翼板的扭轉角度相互相反之外,兩 者是相同的螺桿,所以以第1螺桿2為代表進行說明。
第1螺桿2,係具有:軸部6、以及設於軸部6外周面之螺旋狀的翼板7。如第3圖所示,於翼板7的前端部且於翼板7的旋轉方向R背側,設有作為翼板擴厚部的肋8。翼板7的前端部的外周面7a與肋8的前端部的外周面8a是設為相互間沒有階段差之相同平整面的面,且在旋轉方向R上是設為相同平整面之圓弧狀的面。又,肋8可以是藉由溶接於翼板7之背面等而被固定者,亦可以是與翼板7為一體成形品。在第1圖、第2圖中,是省略了肋8的圖示。
在此,如第3圖於示,擠壓筒4(擠壓筒下游部24)之內壁面4a中的一部分的面,是設為圓弧形狀,其在與包含肋8之翼板7的前端部的外周面7a、8a之間,形成有一樣的間隙S。
又,肋8的背面8b,是以使肋8的厚度隨著朝向軸部6的中心O側而連續地減少之方式設為斜面。
又,肋8(翼板擴厚部),於翼板7螺旋狀延伸的方向上,是連續地設置在翼板7的旋轉方向R背面。亦即,肋8(翼板擴厚部),為帶狀體般的構件,其剖面形狀為第3圖所示的形狀。
翼板7中之設有肋8的部分,是被配置在:其周圍被壁面所包圍之擠壓筒下游部24內部。又,在被配置在擠壓筒上游部14內部的翼板7部分,亦可以在其前端部的背面設置肋8。再者,也可以只有在擠壓筒上游 部14內部所配置的翼板7部分,才在其前端部的背面設置肋8。
在第1、2圖所示的實施形態中,雖然翼板7在軸向上從此端至彼端地設置1條翼板,不過在擠壓筒下游部24的內部,翼板7中之設置有肋8之部分,例如以設置2條等之複數條的翼板部為佳。
(混煉物的流動解析)
在翼板7的前端部且是在翼板7的旋轉方向R背側中,對於設置有作為翼板擴厚部之肋8的螺桿2,進行了二次元的流動解析。
以下一邊參照第4圖,一邊對於流動解析的解析條件進行說明。首先,實施1根的螺桿2被容納在剖面為圓形的擠壓筒4內,而非如上所述的雙螺桿,亦即不是2根的螺桿2、3。
共通的解析條件,係以下所述。
擠壓筒4的內徑:Dmm
螺桿2之軸部6的直徑:0.5Dmm
沒有設置肋8部分之翼板7的厚度T:0.05Dmm
螺桿2的旋轉數:15rpm
混煉物的黏性及密度:1000Pa.s、1000kg/m
又,不論對於比較例之該翼板(於前端部沒有設置翼板擴厚部的翼板),還是對於本發明的翼板,其前端部的外周面(對於本發明的翼板是包含肋部),皆設為是沿著 擠壓筒4之內壁面4a的圓弧之同心的圓弧形狀。
使翼板7與擠壓筒4的內壁面4a之間的間隙S、及翼板7之前端部的厚度W、以及擠壓筒4內部之混煉物的充滿率變化,調查了施加在混煉物的能(energy)。又,施加於混煉物之能的大小,以螺桿22旋轉時之螺桿2的平均旋轉扭力進行了評估。所謂扭力大(或是小),是指施加於混煉物的能大(或是小)。將解析結果顯示於第1、2表。又,於第1、2表中,是對於在前端部沒有設置翼板擴厚部的比較例之該翼板(翼板前端部厚度W:0.05D),以其間隙S:0.01D、充滿率:100%時的平均旋轉扭力作為1.000之情形下的比值,來顯示各條件下之翼板的平均旋轉扭力。

從第1、2表可以得知,翼板7之前端部的厚度W愈大,平均旋轉扭力(施加於混煉物的能)就愈增大。由此結果,得知於翼板前端部設置肋8(翼板擴厚部)來增大翼板前端部厚度W時,可提升混煉物的分散混合性。
對於混煉物的充滿率,從第1、2表在間隙S:0.01Dmm條件下的解析結果之比較來看,可得知充滿率較高者,施加於混煉物的能就較大。由此結果,在混煉物的充滿率較高的條件下,使用翼板7之前端部的厚度W較大的螺桿2,可更為有效地使混煉物的分散混合性提昇。亦即,相較於設有混煉物供給口14a的擠壓筒上游部14,周圍由壁面所包圍之擠壓筒下游部24會有較高之混煉物的充滿率。因此,如上所述地,以將翼板7之中之設有肋8的部分,設置在周圍由壁面所包圍之擠壓筒下游部24的內部為佳。
再者,於混煉物的充滿率較高之擠壓筒下游部24的內部,藉由以複數條配置翼板7之中之設有肋8 的部分(將翼板設為複數),能夠更加增大施加於混煉物的能,可以使混煉物的分散混合性更加提升。
又,從上述之流動解析的結果,可得知在翼板的前端部背面側沒有翼板擴厚部之比較例的螺桿中,混煉物容易滯留在旋轉的翼板前端部的背側。當混煉物產生滯留時便會妨礙混煉物的冷卻,而成為長時間處於高溫狀態。持續於高溫狀態,會成為混煉物劣化的原因,而導致混煉品質降低。由此,如上述之實施形態般地,藉由在翼板前端部的背側,設置:隨著朝向螺桿軸的中心側而厚度連續地減少的肋8(翼板擴厚部),可以防止混煉物在該部分的滯留。藉此可以抑制混煉物的劣化。
(變形例)
於第5圖中,是顯示翼板擴厚部的變形例。作為第3、4圖所示之翼板擴厚部的肋8,肋8的厚度是隨著朝向螺桿之軸部6的中心O側而連續地減少之方式而形成。取代此者,也可以是如第5圖所示之肋12(翼板擴厚部)般之大致一樣厚度的肋。
於第6圖,是顯示翼板的變形例。於第3~5圖所示的翼板7(翼板本體部),其厚度,是從作為軸部6之中心O側部分的基端部到前端部都設為一樣。取代此者,如第6圖所示之翼板13般地,也可以是基端部較粗,從基端部到前端部變細的翼板。換言之,也可以是從前端部到基端部變粗(厚度增加)的翼板。藉由設為如此 之翼板,可以提高翼板的強度,並且可以進一步防止混煉物在翼板間的滯留。
又,於第3、4、5圖所示之包含肋8、12之翼板7的前端部的外周面,雖然皆是實施為於翼板7的旋轉方向呈圓弧形狀,不過亦可以不是圓弧形狀(對於第6圖所示之翼板13亦相同)。也就是說,包含翼板擴厚部之翼板前端部的外周面,與擠壓筒的內壁面之間的間隙,也可以是不一樣的尺寸。
第1、2圖所示之具有滾壓模的擠壓機1,雖為雙螺桿,也就是具備2根螺桿2、3的螺旋式擠壓機,不過也可以僅具備1根螺桿的螺旋式擠壓機,亦可以是具備3根以上螺桿的螺旋式擠壓機。
於其他,可以在本業業者能夠設想的範圍內進行各種的變更。
如此地,本發明不僅對於受上述之實施形態所限定者,凡是將實施形態的各構成予以相互地組合、或者依據專利說明書的記載,以及周知的技術,本業業者得以變更、應用者亦皆為本發明之預定範圍,皆被包含於請求保護的範圍內。

Claims (7)

  1. 一種螺旋式擠壓機,是具備:於軸部的外周面設置有螺旋狀之翼板的螺桿、以及容納上述螺桿的擠壓筒,用以進行混煉物之擠壓的螺旋式擠壓機,其特徵為:在上述翼板的前端部,且是在上述翼板之旋轉方向背側,設有翼板擴厚部。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項所述的螺旋式擠壓機,其中,設有上述翼板擴厚部之上述前端部的外周面,是在上述翼板的旋轉方向上形成圓弧形狀,上述擠壓筒的內壁面之中的至少一部分的面,係與包含上述翼板擴厚部之上述前端部的外周面之間,設成形成同樣尺寸之間隙的圓弧形狀。
  3. 如申請專利範圍第1或2項所述的螺旋式擠壓機,其中,上述翼板擴厚部,是使其厚度隨著朝向上述軸部的中心側而減少。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第1或2項所述的螺旋式擠壓機,其中,上述擠壓筒,係具有:於上部設有混煉物供給口的擠壓筒上游部、以及 周圍由壁面所包圍的擠壓筒下游部;上述翼板之中之設有上述翼板擴厚部的部分,是配置在上述擠壓筒下游部。
  5. 如申請專利範圍第3項所述的螺旋式擠壓機,其中,上述擠壓筒,係具有:於上部設有混煉物供給口的擠壓筒上游部、以及周圍由壁面所包圍的擠壓筒下游部;上述翼板之中之設有上述翼板擴厚部的部分,是配置在上述擠壓筒下游部。
  6. 如申請專利範圍第4項所述的螺旋式擠壓機,其中,上述翼板之中之被配置在上述擠壓筒下游部的部分,係設有複數條的翼板部。
  7. 如申請專利範圍第5項所述的螺旋式擠壓機,其中,上述翼板之中之被配置在上述擠壓筒下游部的部分,係設有複數條的翼板部。
