Description
When producing acetic acid from acetic calcium powder by decomposing it with sulfuric acid in Linde machines, the production process at the plants is as follows. In the Linde apparatus, hermetically sealed, having a broom and heated with superheated steam, a portion of acetic calcium powder is poured and sulfuric acid is poured. When heated and stirred, the acetic acid salt is decomposed to form gypsum and acetic acid. Acetic acid enters the vapor state and, as a mixture with water vapor, sulfur dioxide and other gases, is removed from the apparatus into a refrigerator, where the acetic acid and water vapor is condensed and then the receiver is discharged. Gases and partially acetic acid vapors, not condensed in a refrigerator, go to garbage, undergo a vacuum installation. Removal of the vapor-gas mixture from the powder decomposition apparatus is carried out under vacuum.
In the absence of an increase in acetic acid vapor after a refrigeration system from a vapor-gas mixture, there is a significant loss of acetic acid, calculated, for example, in one of the plants 400-500 tons per year and, in addition, the vacuum installation deteriorates rapidly.
In order to trap acetic acid from the vapor-gas mixture after the refrigeration system, various traps were installed, where the gases were washed either with water or with alkali.
Solutions of acetic acid, acetic sodium or calcium salts obtained with such methods require their subsequent treatment in order to extract the acid or purification of the salt, since the direct use of a weak acid or a contaminated acetic sodium salt turned out to be difficult. trapping methods are not grafted.
Способ состоит в том, что серна кислота , предназначаема дл залива в аппараты разложени порошка, предварительно промывает паро-газовую смесь, извлекает из нее уксусную кислоту и уже после этого поступает в аппарат разложени .According to the present author's testimony, it is proposed to trap acetic acid from the waste gas mixture after the refrigeration system by washing it with sulfuric acid. The method consists in that sulfuric acid, intended for pouring into the powder decomposition apparatuses, pre-rinsing the vapor-gas mixture, extracts the acetic acid from it, and after that enters the decomposition apparatus.
The advantages of applying the proposed method are that
серна кислота вл етс материалом, примен емым уже в производстве уксусной кислоты из порошка, и что полученна смесь серной кислоты и уловленной уксусной направл етс пр мо в аппарат дл разложени уксусного порошка и, следовательно, устран етс необходимость каких-либо дополнительных установок дл переработки этих отходов .sulfuric acid is a material already used in the production of acetic acid from powder, and that the resulting mixture of sulfuric acid and trapped acetic acid is sent directly to the apparatus for decomposing acetic powder and, therefore, eliminating the need for any additional plants for processing these waste.
The subject matter of the invention.
A method of producing acetic acid from wood powder by decomposing it with sulfuric acid, characterized in that the acetic acid vapors carried away from the condenser gases from the cooler are trapped in sulfuric acid, which is then used to decompose the wood powder.
