Abstract
Water is distilled under high vacuum at a temperature of 50 to 60 DEG C., the evaporating apparatus, condenser, piping and collecting vessels being preferably of non-corrodible material such as quartz or austenitic steel.ALSO:Water is purified by first subjecting it to electro-dialysis and then distilling it under high vacuum at a temperature of 50 to 60 DEG C. To ensure permanent sterility the water so purified may be irradiated by means of a quartz lamp. The evaporating apparatus and also the condenser, piping and collecting vessels should preferably be of non-corrosible material such as quartz or austenitic steel.
