Изобретение относитс  к области аналитической химии, а именно к способам определени  гидроокиси натри .This invention relates to the field of analytical chemistry, namely to methods for the determination of sodium hydroxide.

Титрование провод т на фоне формальдегида .A known method for determining sodium hydroxide by titration with hydrochloric acid with the registration of the end point of the titration in a known manner, for example, potentiometric. Titration is carried out on the background of formaldehyde.

When determining sodium hydroxide in sodium hydrosulfite solutions containing carbonate, sulfite, thiosulfate and sulfations, it is necessary to carry out a complete analysis of the sample, since the sodium sulfite present forms an additional equivalent amount of sodium hydroxide when interacting with formaldehyde.

С целью упрощени  процесса при анализе растворов, содержащих гидросульфит натри , предлагаетс  проводить титрование в среде этилового спирта в присутствии хлористого натри .In order to simplify the process, in the analysis of solutions containing sodium hydrosulfite, it is proposed to conduct titration in an environment of ethyl alcohol in the presence of sodium chloride.

Example. In a glass with a capacity of 50 ml, 20 ml of ethyl alcohol, 3 g of sodium chloride and 0.5 ml of the analyzed solution of sodium hydrosulfite containing carbonate, sulfate, sodium thiosulfate and sodium sulfite are placed to 15 mg. The mixture is stirred for 2-3 minutes with a magnetic stirrer and potentiometric titration is carried out on a pH-meter LPU-0.1 with 0.5 N. A solution of hydrochloric acid in ethyl alcohol using glass and chlorine-silver electrodes. The amount of hydrochloric acid needed for titration is determined graphically (tangential method) or calculated by the second derivative. The time required for analysis is 5-10 min. The presence of up to 5% water does not distort the results of the analysis. The mean square error does not exceed 1.36 mg when the sodium hydroxide content is up to 40 mg in solution.

Subject invention

Способ определени  гидроокиси натри  путем титровани  сол ной кислотой с регистрацией конечной точки титровани  известным способом, например потенциометрическим, отличающийс  тем, что, с целью упрощени  процесса при анализе растворов, содержащих гидросульфит натри , титрование провод т в среде этилового спирта в присутствии хлористого натри .The method of determining sodium hydroxide by titration with hydrochloric acid with registration of the end point of titration in a known manner, for example, potentiometric, characterized in that, in order to simplify the process when analyzing solutions containing sodium hydrosulfite, the titration is carried out in ethyl alcohol in the presence of sodium chloride.
