The drier, particularly for drying timber or semi finished timber products e.g. cut timber and especially veneer as well as similar objects, should be an effective, energy saving and thus cost effective device. Regarding the type of timber to be dried, its dimensions and the expected humidity content of dried timber regarding its later use, the device should always provide within the same chassis an effective transition of humidity from the drying timber to the available air current which should also ensure an appropriate quality of the dried timber. At least one of the chassis (1) walls (11, 12, 13, 14) features a door (131) of appropriate size through which it is possible to bring into the chassis (1) timber to be dried, particularly inside the chassis (1). Apart from this one of the transverse walls (11, 12), in the given case wall (11) features a flap (111).
