Abstract

Sealing device for ship hatch and gate covers 5, comprises a flexible gasket member 1 having a lip 4 and a contiguous engagement portion for cooperation with a planar surface 2 and an arcuate surface 3 respectively. A drain 7 is provided in the intermediate space between said areas, so that liquid leaking from the ship past the innermost contact area can be conducted or pumped back to the ship hull. <IMAGE>
