464,036. Doors for passenger vehicles. LIGHTALLOYS, Ltd., and GRIEVE, W. H. Oct. 10, 1935, No. 27946. [Class 103 (ii)] [Also in Groups X and XXII] Cast metal doors have a reinforcement 6, Fig. 2, of steel or like higher tensile metal embedded in the stile during casting, or subsequently. The reinforcement may be solid or hollow and of any suitable section. The door may have a projecting tongue 2 and a rubber cushion 3 secured by washers and rivets or plates 4, or by one plate and a projecting edge of a door panel. The cushion may be tubular as shown in Fig. 4, and be secured by washers 11 and screws. The reinforcement may be inserted into a close fitting bore in the stile after casting.
