1509628 Ship's hatches C M NEWELL 22 Dec 1976 [30 Dec 1975] 53061/75 Heading B7A A hatch cover, e.g. for the flexible or rigid deck of a canoe or a bulkhead, comprises a pair of plates A, C, e.g. of oval shape, Fig. 2 (not shown), arranged on opposite sides of the hatch opening in sheet B and secured together by a screw and nut D, G. A seal F is provided on plate A together with a locating rod E and sealing washers H, I. The plates may be domed, as shown, and may be made of metal or glassreinforced plastics.
