Abstract

The lip seal for the centre board case of a sail board (1) has two support strips (3) let into the board body on either side of the opening (2) of the centre board case as well as two cover strips (5) which end flush with the profile (4) of the underwater part of the sail board, are designed as clamping strips and are intended for clamping in place in the support strips (5). The cover strips (5) consist of a flat extruded section which has an outer clamping zone (6) of hard plastic, e.g. polyvinyl chloride, and an inner zone forming a sealing lip (7) and made of flexible plastic, e.g. polyurethane.
