Abstract

The temperature of the hot air (22) emerging from a cowper of an installation for the production of hot air is controlled by mixing cool air from the main supply pipe (16) with the hot air produced in the chamber (34) during the air cycle. A pipe (30) with a regulating valve (32) leads the cool air to valves (26) in the cowper burners (10) and so into the chamber (34). Valves (32 and 26) are regulated to maintain the desired temperature of the hot air output. <IMAGE>
