Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to burn water containing sewage effectively by a method wherein the sewage having a comparatively high water content is treated by low air ratio combustion, the temperature of the drying zone of the furnace is detected and the quantity of circulation of an exhaust gas is controlled in proportion to the detected temperature.
CONSTITUTION: The water containing sewage is supplied to the vertical multistage furnace 1 through a throw-out screw 6 by a clinker transfer device 8 after it is treated by a drying stage 2, a combustion stage 3 and a cooling stage 4 in sequence. In this case, a thermometer 34 is provided in the drying stage 2 and the degree of opening of a damper 30A in an exhaust gas circulation line 30 is adjusted by a temperature controller 15 so that the temperature of the drying stage 2 becomes a predetermined value. Further, a thermometer 36 is provided in the combustion stage 3 which is connected to a valve 38A in a fuel oil line 38 of a hot air generating furnace through a temperature controller 13 and a ratio setting device 11 so that the temperature of the combustion stage 3 is controlled by the adjustment (by a ratio setting device 11A) of the quantity of a fuel oil and the quantity of air corresponding thereto.
