Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent leakage of bad odor to the atmosphere, by removing malodorous components contained in exhasut gas through cooling of combustion gas of sludge.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas used for drying in a drying chamber 1 enters into an exhaust-gas cooler 15 and is cooled by a cooling pipe 22, so that malodorous components in exhaust gas, having a high boiling point, are liquefied. The malodorous components thus liquefied are taken out from a wastewater outlet port 23 and sent to a sewage treating system. On the other hand, cooled exhaust gas is divided into four passages. That is, exhaust gas is heated in the first and the second passages and used again for drying sludge. In the third passage, it is mixed with exhaust combustion gas or secondary heat exchanging gas after its flow rate is controlled by an exhaust-gas temperature controlling blower 17, so that the temperture of the mixture gas is controlled. In a fourth passage, it is deodorized at 24 and discharged to the outside from a chimney 27. Further, malodorous components having a low boiling point, liquefied at a cooler 25, is sent to a sewage treating system, so that bad odor is not leaked to the outside.
