Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve thermal efficiency, in an installation equipped with an anaerobic digestion vessel and dehydrated sludge-heating and incinerating means, by effectively recovering waste heat to heat the anaerobic digestion vessel.
CONSTITUTION: Air heat-exchanged with exhaust gas from a multi-stage incinerator 2 by a heat exchanger 6 becomes at an elevated temperature. The hot air is intoroduced into a drier 1 to dry dehydrated sludge. Exhaust air from the drier 1 contains steam and has large latent heat. The hot air is introduced into a vapor-liquid contact device 7 and used for temperature-raising of circulating sludge. The air is then cooled and dehumidified in a device 7, and used a s air for combustion in the incinerator 2.
