Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the conditions of a blast furnace by equally dividing many tuyere nozzles of the furnace into several blocks in the circumferential direction of the furnace and controlling the vol. of air from tuyeres every block to make gas flow and temp. distributions uniform in the furnace. CONSTITUTION:Hot air sent from hot stove 6 through hot air main pipe 5 and hot air circular pipe 2 is sent to a plurality of distribution pipes 11 under press. through communicating pipes 12. Each pipe 11 is provided with the same no. of tuyere nozzles 4, and each pipe 12 with hot air flow rate regulation valve 13, cold air feed pipe 16, a hot air flow meter and a thermometer. Because of different relative positions between pipe 5 and pipe 11, ill-balanced burden drop, etc., the speed of gas rising in the furnace owing to hot air from many tuyeres 3 is not made uniform and temp. distrubution in the furnace becomes not uniform. So, the vol. and temp. of hot air are regulated every pipe 11 with valves 13 and cold air flow rate regulation valves 17 to allow the gas to uniformly rise in the whole furnace, thereby stabilizing the furnace conditions.
