In a cable with a concentric neutral conductor formed of corrugated wires 12 the corrugations are staggered so as to be in contact at 14 and spaced apart at 15 in order to resist deformation and displacement of the wires. A helically wound continuity tape 13 covers at least the spaced-apart sections 15 and the whole is covered with an external protective sheath. An anti-corrosion tape may be placed between the tape 13 and the external protective sheath or the neutral conductor may be sealed, at least in the part not covered by the continuity tape and along the joins formed between the tape and the wires. The wires may have symmetrical or asymmetrical corrugations and may be composed of copper or annealed aluminium.
