Abstract

1,176,995. Ventilating. H. LOHMANN [trading as LOHMANN-APPARATEBAU K.G.] 11 April, 1967 [20 Dec., 1966; 15 Feb., 1967], No. 16415/67. Heading F4V. Ventilation means for a building, particularly an animal house, comprises an axial flow motor driven fan 11 which draws in stale air via a duct 7 and expels it through an outlet 14, fresh air being drawn in through two inlets 16, one on each side of the outlet 14, and passing into the stable through an inlet nozzle 9. The nozzle is controlled by a spring or weight operated flap 24 which is forced open by the incoming air. A flap 20 is set to keep the incoming and outgoing air streams separate (Fig. 1) or can be adjusted to close the inlet and outlet thereby causing recirculation (Fig. 2, not shown). The ventilator is made of several sheet metal, synthetic resin, or glass fibre reinforced synthetic resin parts assembled together.
