Inventia se refera la un procedeu pentru prepararea unui derivat de peptida ciclica cu formula generala I: (vezi formula) procedeu, ce consta în faptul ca daca se doreste protectia uneia sau a mai multor grupe de protectie amino existente în compusul cu formula generala I în sine cunoscuta, dupa care produsul protejat este dezacilat prin incubarea într-un mediu de cultura continînd un microorganism ales dintre Actinoplanes utahansis NRRL 12052 Streptosporangium roseum varietatea hollandensis NRRL 12064, Actinoplanes missouriensis NRRL 12053, Actinoplanes species NRRL 12065 si NRRL 8122, dupa care se doreste grupele de protectie aminoexistente pot fi îndepartate din compusul cu formula generala I.
