Inventia se refera la o metoda si la un aparta pentru hranirea mai multor animale necontentionate, în aceiasi boxa. în cursul fiecarei perioade de hranire, sînt furnizate fiecarui loc, portii de nutret ce nu depaseste cîteva îmbucaturi si de preferinta nedepasind efectiv o îmbucatura iar portiile respective sînt furnizate la astfel de intervale de timp, încîat viteza de distribuire a nutretului catre locul de hranire sa corespunda efectiv viteza de mîncare dorita, a fiecaruia dintre animalele respective. o portie de nutret uscat si o portie corespunzatoare de lichid sînt furnizate simultan fiecarui loc de hranire. Portiile respective pot fi masurate cu ajutorul unui brat de rotor avînd un capat liber ce se întinde radial printr-un canal inelar, comunicînd cu un rezervor de nutret.
