1,094,756. Brushes. BRITISH BRUSH MANUFACTURERS RESEARCH ASSOCIATION. Dec. 11, 1964 [March 17, 1964], No. 11163/64. Heading A4K. The roots of bristle tufts may be moulded from their own or from added material to form plugs which may be screw threaded. The roots of polyamide, polyalkenes or polyurethane bristle tufts may be placed in a split mould to which heat and pressure can be applied to produce a tapered screw-threaded plug (Figs. 1-4, not shown). The tufts 20 are screwed into a rotary stock 24. Alternatively, the tuft roots are moulded in the form of part of a bayonet connection.
