Abstract

862,359. Brushes. DROESER, W. Nov. 10, 1959 [Nov. 11, 1958], No. 38097/59. Class 19. To ensure an even distribution of bristles about the periphery of a rotary brush the bristle carrying strip wound on to the stock of a brush is formed of bristles 5 folded about a wire 10 laid in a channel, the upstanding edges 1, 3 of which are regularly apertured along the top to leave portions 2, 4 which are pressed inwards to cause the bristles to be clamped within the channel. The portions 2, 4 on opposite sides of the channel may be in opposition or staggered longitudinally of the strip. Several preferred embodiments are described in detail.
