Abstract

897,404. Toothbrushes. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO., E. I. March 20, 1961 [April 1, 1960], No. 10035/61. Drawings to Specification. Class 19. In a toothbrush having bristles composed of synthetic polymeric material, e.g. a thermoplastic such as nylon, the free ends of the bristles are split lengthwise into at least two parts for a distance not exceeding one-half of their projecting length. Preferably the distance is between 25 % and 45%, and the bristles are between 0.007 and 0.015 inches in diameter. Specification 684,093 and U.S.A. Specifications 2,697,009 and 2,845,649 are referred to.
