The essential features of a folding chair, having a seat with a backrest and legs crossed in pairs and two external armrests supported on supports, connected to this backrest, are that the seat and the main part of the backrest have a square shape and consist of a number of cuboid elements resembling boards, which are arranged, in each of these parts of the chair, parallel and with a constant gap between them, wherein all the cuboid elements of the seat are of the same length and have a gentle rounding from the front of the chair, and the two outermost cuboid elements of the backrest, all of the same length, have an arc-shaped cut at the top with an outline corresponding, at the height of this cut, to the shape of the bend of the rounded section of the frame surrounding the main part of this backrest, and the frame It is made of a round tube and, when viewed from the back, has a shape similar to a horseshoe, the symmetrically placed arms of which are connected, near the lower end and in the place where these arms turn into a semicircular bend constituting the upper part of the frame, by two rectangular flat bars running parallel to each other and perpendicular to the cuboidal elements of the basic part of the backrest, while the crossed legs have the shape of pairs of alternately bent cuboidal beams, where the front inner legs, which at the same time constitute an extension of the arms of the lower part of the backrest frame, have the shape of an arc with a downward bend and, when viewed from the back, create an outline resembling an inverted ladder, and the outer rear legs, connecting with the seat at its rounding point, have the shape of an arc with an upward bend and in the rear view, they form an outline resembling the lower part of a ladder, but both pairs of legs are connected with each other by horizontal struts in the shape of round rods, and when the chair is folded, these legs have a shape resembling the letter H in the front view, with slightly parted sides, the extension of which on each side of the chair, in this view, are cuboid elements constituting its armrests, which in the side view have the outline of a gentle arc, and which, together with the vertical supports in the form of round rods, have, in the side view, the shape of an asymmetrical letter T.
